By the river. Oh be Joyful trail from campsite is fantastic. Musicians camp ground two miles up the road is not crowded mid week Verizon service can be good and a bit later no service.

Most of the sites are next to the Rio Grande, maybe 20 to 40 feet away Some of the sites are reservable online. Others are First come First served. Low number sites catch the morning sun earlier than others. The river is full and fast flowing.... Read more

In between very stormy weather all around, this is an awesome campground. Yesterday marble size hailstones. $9 vehicle fee in addition to camp fee. Can barely head train horn which is almost 4 miles away in Walensburg
