Beautiful forest and open camp. It's close to highway, so lots of truck noise. We tried it out and found it a good spot to get off the road.

Magnolia Beach seems a tad isolated, but it's only about 7 miles from Port Lavaca. The bathrooms are reasonably clean. It has Beach showers to rinse off or a cool wash up, and there's plenty of hard-packed sand to park or tent at the water's edge....

I crashed here on three different occasions. It's reasonably quiet, clean, and the lights weren't blinding. My biggest issue with rest areas is the bright lights keeping me awake. I'd overnight here again
