Low hanging branches just before the campground, the road narrows as you go along so if you met someone there’s no way to pass each other. The campground is nice and some spaces could accommodate a small RV but, even a short camper would have difficulty managing the tight turns in the campground. We have a 22ft Salem which would not be able to make one of the turns. Looks like nice camp for tents and van campers.

Personally I like rough dirt roads it adds to the adventure and tends to be more secluded. to reverve you have to use Reserve America and the map they have of the sites is totally wrong. It shows them kinda spread out in a line like they are all on the same side of the road. Nope when you turn right bam 1, 2 and 3 are all right there on top of each other, go around the bend and there is number 4 by itself. Yes i would stay again but only at number 4 or if i had a big group and we needed 3 sites. Metro pcs has service there but spotty to the point 1 inch made a difference.

Cedar Creek was my second option in this area of Florida, the first was still shut down from the hurricanes.
That being said, GPS won't lead you to the actual camping, and they are below average with minimal maintenance.
It's certainly secluded and quiet.
But I've stayed in way better state forests for free.
The road in is problematic. Narrow, muddy and flooded. Keep in mind it's December and the big storms are long gone.
The best part of camping here is enjoying St. Augustine's waterfront near the old Fort. Awesome. Even though they'll shake you down for $15 to park, we'll worth the price of admission.
NOTE: The road worsened as the week wore on. Once the water dried, I could see it would be higher than my wheels in some places. Don't drive through the puddles!
