"No frills, Great "once was a hippie farm gone to seed" atmosphere."

I loved the place, many may not. The office is in a geodesic dome from the 60's but you will check in at a picnic table out in front. Hummingbirds buzz around a half dozen feeders. Deer may wander by. Coyotes are nearby. Did not try the showers... Read more

"Wonderfull place for hiking, 4 wheeling or hanging out."

This place is nice. There is a large corral for horses, a tunnel through a mountain you can walk through, a dirt road that goes for a number of miles getting more fun as you progress. We followed with our Jeep through many water crossings and... Read more

Great place for a breather. Nice owners, clean facilities. Old fashioned but well maintained. We stop every year for a few days to "recharge our batteries" both mental and electrical. Nearby are great doughnuts, Peggy Sue's famous diner and the... Read more

"We have always loved Lazy Lakes. It may be the last real old keys campground left. "

It is a great old time campground with mainly permanent residents and, pre Covid, they get together in the evening in the large rec room by the pool. There are TV,s and a pool table. The place is reasonably well maintained with a wide variety of... Read more

"If you like fish camps you will like this. We loved it. "

Camp store, big old friendly dog wandering around, Grandpa sitting on the porch with an extra rocker for you. Boats, boat launch, boat gas, ducks on the pond and inlet. There's a deck over the water for hanging out. Everybody's friendly. Not a... Read more

"Wonderful place if you like it (read). Open through October now."

Huge open area with large spots far apart in areas of well maintained lawn. The mowed loops are separated by wild grassy natural areas of low vegetation. It is out on the point of the Cape Hatteras natural Seashore. We couldn't hear the road but... Read more
