“Thankful For This Spot ”
Reviewed 4/14/2024
Arrived after midnight after driving through pretty harrowing snow conditions on 139CA from Klamath falls. OR and the other campsite we had planned on was closed for the season. Parking lot is slanted but we are a small class B van and it wasn’t a problem for us. We were just very thankful for a place to sleep for the night.

Prefer if you park out by the coffee shop (which had great craft drinks). They do have 110 plugs on the light poles. These are limited. We have a 30 foot class c and a tow vehicle. We arrived late afternoon on a Tuesday and was able to find a spot with no problems. Used all of our leveling blocks as it is a slanted parking lot. Could understand how it would be tough if it was busier with rvs - Walmart welcomes rvs which is just down the road. Didn’t spend any time in the casino so I can’t speak on that. Easy free stop between Lake Tahoe and redwoods!

Stopped here on the way south from Oregon. By the way google maps sent us to the wrong location but Apple Maps sent us to the correct address. Never had that happen before.
You park over by the coffee shack which is located on the far left side of the parking lot as you pull in. There are a couple of 120AC outlets that will power your fridge and heater and lights, but no 30 or 50 amp (as I said it’s free, so nice of them to do that much). We felt very safe here.
You don’t have to sign in, but I spoke with a security guard who was walking the parking lot to make sure we were in the right area before we leveled. As others mentioned the lot is sloped a bit, so you will likely need to level your rig.
Smallish casino, lots of smoke and people gambling. Small bar and restaurant. Has the cheeseburger as takeout, but it was soggy. We would stay again but probably avoid the casino (smoke) and restaurant.

The Good:
There when we needed it.
Lot is on a hillside but we got leveled.
Small Casino with small lot but not busy. Just enough room.
Wifi available in lot with our booster.
The Bad:
This is a small town and there are some sketchy characters but none bothered us much.
No Ugly

Otherwise I'm thankful for the free offer, but it wouldn't work for us. There is a gas station on site and it was about 20 cents a gallon cheaper than the lowest in town. I'm sure it may be worth the stop, especially if you want to gamble.

There is power on the poles, but not all poles work so double check if you're counting on that power. We used it just fine. I was worried someone would come out and say something to us since we were the only RV in the lot but we were good, no issues.
If you're passing through and need a place to sleep, this is a great option. Plus, we saw a few deer!

Pulled in here, parking lot is small and on quite a slope. Tried to set up but decided it was not feasible for our rig.
Pulled out and went to Susanville RV Park which is vey nice.

Our little teardrop trailer has no bathroom so being near the mini mart was good for us. Free WiFi in the casino, but doesn’t extend very far into parking area.
