The parking spot was so steep we drove into the clear area by the fire ring and still needed all our blocks. Tried something similar in another site first but couldn’t work it out. Photos and reviews show pavement. There isn’t any. Very dusty. Website also says due for renovations in spring 2024. Didn’t happen. There is an old, but clean restroom with a flush toilet but everything else is in disrepair. Good Verizon cell service. Road noise wasn’t bad… loneliest road in America after all.

A few pull throughs of modest size could probably acclimated large rigs. OHV trails out the back we walked. No trash, no potable water. Overall met our needs with 32’ fifth wheel. More truck noise/traffic than expected for Loneliest Rd in America… but didn’t keep us up at night.

Nice little campground. We stayed for 2 nights and it was very quiet. It is unfortunate that people are so irresponsible. Someone left a large mattress in the bushes at one site. Sites are not level and there is no portable water, pipes are bad.

We stopped there overnight on our way from Oregon to Great Basin National Park in mid-July 2022. It's a great little campground, and I would stop there again for a longer stay just for the isolation and peace and quiet. July is the monsoon season. It rained very, very hard overnight. We were in a minivan with a tent. We have a good tent, and no water got in. In the morning, there was little sign of rain. It all got absorbed into the ground or ran off. The fine gravel/coarse sand in the terrain was damp, and that was it. The restroom was functional and clean. It was pretty. The higher elevation kept the heat at bay. The drive in was spectacular. The drive out was equally spectacular. No issues. Great overnight stop on our travels.

Husband and I spent one night on 10/21/22 at Bob Scott Campground in our 19’ Trailer while traveling from CA to UT. I’d planned on this little campground on our route by using the Campendium app and it didn’t disappoint. We easily found a pull through site, leveled up (it did need some), but stayed hooked to our truck. The outhouse was spotless and well stocked with TP. The sites are far enough apart that there is plenty of privacy (only 3-4 other campers while we were there), includes a picnic table and fire ring/bbq, and far enough from Hwy 50 that we didn’t hear any noise at night. The elevation is high (7 or 8 thousand ft) so it was VERY chilly at night (thank goodness I packed a down comforter) but the stars were spectacular - a night sky kinda place. The campground was a perfect stopover for our trip and we were on our way the next morning after our coffee.

There are 10 designated sites and a very small, tent area group site. I had 4 bars, 4G Verizon. Water is available. No trash cans. Restroom available. Most sites are NOT level. I am here in a 25-foot 5th wheel, total length with truck and 5th wheel is 42 feet and only one site would fit my setup. Designated sites have picnic tables, fire pits and BBQ stands.
There are 3 or 4, free overflow sites on the right before the cattle guard into the campground.
I marked site quality low simply because none of the sites are very level.

There are only about 10 sites, but just outside the gate is an area amongst the trees for overglow/boondockers. The campground has a simple his/hers bathroom with water. There are water spigots throughout the campground
and they are threaded for a hose. Pull out the spring-loaded bucket outlet to divert water to the threaded outlet.Trees are abundant, so shade is available...not for your vehicle perhaps but for those willing to carry there chairs.
Hwy 50 is very close by, but being the loniest highway in the US means very little traffic. Actually the free roaming cattle make more racket than the road. Sites are your typical western dusty sites. This is a well placed cheap rest stop.

Closed for the season, but horribly the “closed” sign and locked gate is about ½ mile up the single lane curving driveway. Trying to back a 30 foot travel trailer down a curving road in the dark wasn’t working, by the grace of the almighty I managed to climb up what might have been a small road under the light snow (in the dark) and eventually 10-point a u-turn.
A closed sign at the hwy 50 sign would have been handy..
A few RV parks in town, all looked very sketchy and some guy with a horrible case of meth-mouth stood in front of my truck for an oddly long time as I was trying to leave the gas station.. plan accordingly if passing through, not a great area to stop in.
The roads from what I could see inside the Bob Scott looked pretty snug for larger RVs.

We arrived on a Friday evening and there were still a few open sites. The restrooms were clean, with flush toilets (!), and the campground also appeared clean (thank you fellow campers for helping to keep it clean!) Site 4 has a water spigot, but we couldn’t get it to work. There is a shared spigot adjacent to the site that worked.
Overall it was quiet with beautiful scenery and surprisingly strong cell signal.
Please remember to Leave No Trace.
