Where do I start….. Let’s start with the best part. Hands down the owners Louie and PJ and peanut. They make you feel like family the minute you pull into the campground. Where do I start….. Let’s start with the best part. Hands down the owners Louie and PJ and peanut. They make you feel like family the minute you pull into the campground. The property immaculately kept as well as the bathhouses. Daily activities, great wifi, pet park, yard game activities and only half hour away from Helen. It’s geared to mature over 40 families, but kids that like to get outdoors this would be perfect. We will be back soon and will get site #24 that’s a pull through.

From the location, to the owners, the WiFi, community events, and amenities all far exceed expectations. We will be back time and time again. This is a must camp location for anyone looking for a beautiful experience.

A stay at Mountain View Campground is never long enough. Our vacation was wonderful. PJ and Louie make you feel welcome, and the activities are always so much fun. This trip was no exception. As usual, the grounds were manicured, our site was clean and ready when we arrived, and Louie was there to see we were safely positioned on our site. Most of the campers were on return visits, and many we knew from previous trips. What fun it was to spend time in the beautiful Georgia mountains, with new and returning friends, at the bon fire, karaoke / music trivia / open mic night and the annual Labor Day potluck dinner and musical entertainment evening. We also enjoyed quiet days staying at the campground, reading, doing laundry and talking with other campers, along with hiking some trails and visiting several close by towns. Another thoroughly enjoyable vacation at Mountain View Campground.
We will definitely return as often as possible next year.

We have stayed at Mountain View in the past and have found that we just enjoy the serenity of the area and creature comforts of the campground, but what keeps us coming back year after year are the people! PJ and Louis (and Peanut) have become like extended family. During each stay, we recognize folks who have been there with us in years past and it's always a pleasure to reconnect. Each week we have stayed, whether spring, summer or fall, there's always some wholesome family friendly fun activities going on.
You will always be greeted at arrival and guided safely while parking at your spot. My site has always been "dressed and ready" for my arrival. Never had any issues with any of the hookups or services. WiFi was able to stream TV and several other devices, and all this was while the campground was full.
Common area facilities have always been impeccable, it's obvious that PJ and Louis take great pride in their home, it's always a pleasure to stay there.

Mountain View Campground in Hiawassee, GA is without a doubt one of the best campgrounds that we have stayed in over the years. The owners, P.J. & Louie go above and beyond to create a warm, inviting environment with enough but not too many planned activities to provide a fun, relaxing time for all of their guests while allowing plenty of time to explore or relax on your own. Bonfire night roasting hot dogs and smores, karaoke night, potluck dinner night or just hanging out in the rocking chairs on the large covered front porch are among the great opportunities to mix and mingle with your fellow campers in an informal laid-back atmosphere. The location of the campground provides beautiful mountain views as well as easy access to fun activities in Hiawassee and the nearby, surrounding towns in the north Georgia mountains.

This campground is the best we’ve camped at in the Blueridge mountains by far!! We’ve been camping for a long time and we are a bit picky about where we stay. Louie and PJ hit every mark with their campground for us. So clean and well maintained, quiet, shaded, breathtaking views, lots to do in the campground and around town, laundry facility. Super fast Wi-Fi (fastest in any campground we’ve been as per our teenagers so that says a lot), beautiful landscaping and lighting, it’s all thought out to make it so warm and cozy there. We truly did not want to leave. PJ and Louie go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and they’re so friendly. Everyone in the campground quickly becomes friends with them and the other campers with all of the activities they have planned. I can’t say enough good things. We will be back for years to come!!!

This place is like family. PJ and Louie are the warmest, most gracious hosts. Everyone is treated like family. Activities include a karaoke night and often live music by great musicians. You can learn Tai Chi and often pop up line dancing lessons happen. And then there are the Mountain Views.

We stayed for 5 nights and hated to leave! PJ and Louie were the most gracious and friendly hosts that welcomed us like family. The site was perfect, the bath house was spotless, laundry (donation suggested), and fun activities like tai chi, line dancing, open mike/karaoke night, community bonfire, and live music on Saturday we’re so much fun! It was close to town, beautiful mountain sights and scenery, as well plenty of places to explore. The fellow campers were super friendly and all had stayed multiple times before. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed at Mountain View Campground May 1, 2023 - May 4, 2023 as we heard good things about the area. We were visiting from Massachusetts.
We did a google search and found Mountain View Campground and so happy we did!! Me, my husband Steve and our dog Diesel absolutely loved the campground!!
Louie and PJ made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were met at the entrance and personally shown to our site. Diesel received a welcome “poop bag” with homemade dog cookies inside and Steve & I received fresh chocolate chip cookies! Our site was clean, spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains! The restrooms and laundry room were very clean as well.
Louie and PJ wanted to make our visit as nice as possible and suggested activities for us to do in the area. They suggested a hike that a neighbor was leading the next day and they told us how to get to a waterfall that isn’t on any maps! Unfortunately it was very windy while we were there and they needed to postpone a planned bonfire.
Louie and PJ are very friendly and great to talk with.
We would definitely stay here again!

“Always a Pleasure”

We have stayed at this campground several times and it is consistently a fantastic experience. The hosts are wonderful and seek to make the stay enjoyable with activities, live music and camaraderie.
The area is beautiful, and that is the main attraction - this is a place geared towards appreciation of the great outdoors.
