Signs up throughout the parking lot saying no RV parking. As others stated, there’s a wide berm you can park on - which was fine.

Beautiful location along the river about 4 mi north of I-70. There is a small rutted gravel driveway that leads to a gravel parking area with a boat ramp and a few tent sites off in the underbrush. Good stop before/after Denver.
The site is easy to get to and only a short drive north of the I-70.
No cell service for us (T-mobile).
Both times we stayed a train drove by on the other side of the river. Early in the morning. It sounds as if it drives through your tent.

Right off I-70, the interstate kind of became white noise. The sites were nicely sized. We stayed in site 2. I was a little on guard at first because there was a mattress, carpet and tarp beside the site in the bushes.

So I was there 6 days. A ranger came up and told me that I had to leave because he thought I was a Vagrant and was establishing residency there. Now your allowed 16 days. I was there 6. I tried to explain that I was making my way back to Kansas and hitting some hiking/ camping spots along the way. I’m a tent camper and have stayed in many spots in California Arizona Utah. I have never had a problem EVER with a ranger or any law enforcement. That being said. It’s a nice place. Camps are not that far from parking. You can either go to the parking lot or pull of the side of the road. It is noisy, so if your looking for quiet this is not the place. Cars and a train that ran 3-4 times a day. I picked up a ½ a bag of trash. It amazes me how people want to trash something so beautiful. At camp 5 you can pitch a tent right by the Colorado River which helps drown out the car noise. There is a toilet. It’s right by the road so you can drive any yep of vehicle. No cell service at all. Closest is about 4 miles away by I70

I’m a tent camper and this was perfect. It was super conveniently only ten minutes from the major highway. It seems like there were a few spots along the road that had designated campsites, but I pulled into the area with the big sign saying campground. I don’t know how this would work for RVs unless they just parked directly next to the road. For tents go down into the little parking lot next to the river and there are sites off from there. I had to carry my stuff in from the car about 100 feet. Because I was right on the river, I heard no road noise throughout the night and saw no one. When I arrived a few people were getting out of the river from tubing. There’s no water, but a biodegradable toilet near each parking lot. No cell service though.
