Thinking We Might Find A Spot By The Road, We Decided To Give Kirby Gulch A Go. We Found Absolutely Zero Spots To Camp On The More Mellow Part Of The Road But Kept Going, Hoping To Find A Spot. After Awhile Of Searching We Found Ourselves On Quite A Challenging Trail With No Spot To Turn Around. We Were Towing A Trailer And The Trail Was Very Narrow And A Sheer Drop On One Side. We Had To Press On All The Way To The Top, 11500 Feet And We Found A Paradise. Thank God We Made It And Thankfully Our Trailer Is A Conqueror 490 With A DO35 Hitch. If You Are Not Prepared For A Very Aggressive Climb Up The Mountain, Do Not Attempt Reaching The Summit.

There are quite a few spots here, road is narrow and was very busy when we went. Really like camping here, but left on Friday after work and only live an hour away and it was jam packed! Also the creek/river is fun to hike up and pump water out of!

About a mile past the Geneva Park campsite on 119 you'll find some boondock camping opportunities in a beautiful valley that has Geneva Creek running through it along the length of the road. Getting there may be a bit tricky for larger rigs or those with low ground clearance, though. Most of the road is your typical dirt road with some ruts and potholes here and there, but there is a 25 meter section of road just before the 1 mile mark that is uphill and quite washed out, revealing some rocks with deep holes. Definitely scout ahead before driving in if you have any question. I've driven through here a couple times now and each time there were plenty of spots available.
