Very popular, busy campground. About 15 miles from Jackson between the Grand Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges. The Gros Ventre river meanders close to the campground, offering fly fishing, wading, and wildlife spotting. Paved interior roads and sites. Site was a bit tight for our 32 ft class c and tow vehicle. Plenty of space between sites. Lots of scrubby sage brush and narrow leaf cottonwoods. When we arrived there was no water in the entire campground due to pump failure. This was repaired within 24 hours. Washrooms are dated but clean. Cold water only. No showers. Dump station use was by appointment only. Potable water sources was very low pressure so took quite a while to fill our fresh tank. Attended one ranger talk. Was rather slow and focused on global warming. Not what I was hoping for. Good base camp if needs are simple. So much hiking, biking, fishing, and breathing fresh air to be done!

This campground is well run campground with volunteer staffing. The campground is quiet at night. I received senior rate so the price is usually $50 per night. I was in site 47A - dry camp. Loop A is best loop - as it has views of the Tetons. Best location for camping as it's close to town and to the National Parks.

If you have the senior or access America the Beautiful Pass you do qualify for 50% off camping fees. It is with these passes that the camping becomes more affordable. Just be aware that at Grand Teton National Park campgrounds they have a water usage fee and charge sales tax.
The campground has over 300 sites. Many of the campsites are spaced out pretty well. Sites are all dry camping except Loop D that offers electric. There is a dump station that has 2 spots to dump, but they are located one right in front of the other. The potable water fill is located just in front of the two dumps. Depending on the size of the RVs in front of you or how people park, you may be able to get out around them. You also may have to wait to pull out. The dump is located across from the check in area on your way out of the campground. Upon check in we were allowed to fill our water if needed. At that time we had to make a “reservation” for what day we would want to dump our tanks. The dump station has a limited use per day. They do allow people to dump multiple times during their stay, as long as there is still availability for that particular day. Was told this is the only campground in the park doing this because their sewer system has not been updated. If the park does not limit the use they have problems with the system backing up.
The roads within the campground are paved. The campsites in the East Corridor (EC), loops A, B, C, & D all have paved designated parking pads. The rest of the campsites have gravel parking pads. Generators are only allowed in the EC, A, B, & C. Loop E is for employees only. Loop G is for tent camping only. Each campsite had a picnic table, fire ring, and bear box. You are not supposed to leave any food, water, coolers, grills, etc outside due to the wildlife.
Very happy with site EC 07 which was a back in and faced South/Southwest. There are no campsites behind the RV and it was a decent distance to the Gros Ventre Road. Site itself was pretty level. The views from the campside were open land and the mountains. There were several trees on the drivers side towards the front of the site. It made for a pretty decent solar site on the day that it was actually sunny.
There are bear proof trash cans and recycling bins located at the entrance/exit of each loop. In addition, there was a cardboard recycling bin and a propane recycling bin located near the dump station. Bathrooms with flush toilets are located in each loop as well. The bathrooms only have cold water at the faucets. They were always clean when we used them. There are NO showers in this campground.
Did have 2 bars of Verizon signal at site. It was ok to text, search the internet, and stream videos. There were a couple times (during our six night stay) it was very slow and not quite usable. I did see multiple campers with Star Link set up at their sites.
Would I camp her again, Absolutely! I enjoy coming to Grand Teton and liked this campground. My only complaint would be the lack of enforcement on their parking rules. When making reservations it specifically says your RV and vehicle must fit on the designated parking pad. It’s actually the 4th bullet point in their campground regulations (and it’s in bold print) “All vehicles and RVs must fit on the designated parking pad. Check with the Campground Office if vou need assistance”. They even have an overflow lot located near the amphitheater. Everyday that I would walk in the campground the same vehicles, including trailers were parked off the designated pads and often on the vegetation (or what’s left of it). Being a 37 foot class A with a tow vehicle I was limited on the number of spots that could accommodate the RV. Had I known it’s not really a rule it would have increased the number of campsites I could choose from also leading to more options for dates. In my opinion, if it’s not something that they are going to enforce they should just remove it from the rules.

Although it’s in the national park, it’s run by Bell Concessionary and their only goal is to take your money. For $55/night, we were in a site with neighbors visible all around. No hookups of any sort. No showers. No laundry facilities. No hot water in the bathrooms. No electric plugs in the bathroom, even though the wiring is there — they put blank off plates instead of plugs. No cell signal and no wi-fi. And, if all that isn’t bad enough, they limit how many people can dump each day. You have to put your name on a list, if there’s availability. We ended up leaving and staying in a lovely BLM spot, which was just as accessible to the park, had cell signal, an amazing view of the Tetons, tons of room, and it was free.

Camp was clean and well maintained and the bathrooms were really awesome but we were packed in like sardines. It was a great place to stop in the Tetons though and I felt a bit less nervous about bears since other people would be around which I did not feel while in BLM dispersed camping in this area

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #232, a dry, BI site for $15/night with the Senior pass. Roads in the campground were asphalt and the sites were gravel. Being a NP, the roads were narrow and turns could get tight. Site 232 was only 38’ long, but it was wide enough for me to park the truck along side the rig. Also, the road curves in front of it so I was able to get straight and easily back in. Other sites would have been pretty difficult for me to get my rig into them. There is lots of space between sites and foliage gave a sense of privacy. 232 got a little bit of shade. The bathhouse is pretty close, was very clean, but there were no showers. This site is close to the group camping area which was kind of noisy one night, but quieted down fairly quickly after 10. I did not use the water fill station or the dump station. You had to schedule a time to use both – be sure to check to see if this is still the case. They wanted me to schedule it right as I pulled in so be aware of that and have a day/time in mind if you need to access it. It was great being fairly close to some of the best hikes (e.g. Jenny Lake and Cascade Canyon), Mormon Row, float trip pick up areas. I got up early and was over at Jenny Lake by 6:50 am. I hiked without seeing any other people for about 45 minutes and the parking lot barely had any cars there. It paid to get there early. I had 2-3 bars LTE Verizon, no wifi and didn’t check for OTA channels. I would definitely stay here again.

I parked the truck in an area where rocks had been laid to create a parking spot. The third day there he rides through and without stopping, just yells at the top of his lungs like a drill instructor, "GET THAT TRUCK OFF THE GRASS, IF YOU DON"T I WILL TELL THE RANGER!" He didn't stop and identify himself as an employee and ask me to move. Fact is the ranger had driven through twice and had seen my truck parked and made no comment. Two days later the loud mouth jerk came through with an employee on his cart and made the remark loud enough for me to hear, "I made this man move his truck" like it was one of his greatest accomplishments. This man needs serious re-training, until then his skill set lends itself to the laying of rocks for more parking spaces.
