"Needs TLC, High Price"

The FHU price is good at $30/nt, but then add in the day fee per person- $12/day for adults, $6/day for seniors, so our site came to $42/nt. Which would have been okay if the place was nice. It wasn't. The place needs an upgrade- broken pavement... Read more

"The good did not outweigh the bad."

We made our reservation for FHU site in January for a week in July. When we arrived, we were give one of the 11 FHU sites- the worst site in the whole campground. WIthin 10ft to the bathrooms where the doors slammed constantly (most sites were... Read more

"Great views!"

Traveling around the Gaspe Peninsula and not many campgrounds actually have reviews here on campendium, so we looked for ones with a review. This place is great- parked right on the shore. In mid-June, the place was less than half full... Read more

"Pricey for a Provincial Park"

Beautiful campground on the Carp and Ottawa Rivers. A bit pricey for only electric (took 50 ft. of cord to reach it though). I suppose the price is high because it is so close to Ottawa. Decent sites, many right on the river. During our... Read more

"Plenty of room for big rigs!"

We're not sure what other reviewers were complaining about because out of about 50 sites at least a dozen would easily fit any big size rig and another dozen of so would fit anything up to 40 ft. We're 52 ft long and walked by many that we could... Read more

"Over priced, not friendly, noisy at night"

There are not a lot of choices in Bayfield that fit 30 ft or longer campers. The view is great. Some sites are great. $45 a night is high (especially when the website said $40, which they immediately changed when I mentioned it). Along the... Read more

"Doesn't Exist Anymore"

This camping area is gone now. We asked a couple of locals when we couldn't find camping near the city park and they said it is no longer there.

"Nice but Pricey"

The rates have gone up quite a bit. $34/nt for just electric (water is shared between several sites) AND $8 day use fee. So- $40. Nice campground, but that is pricey for a state park. Apparently, you must reserve on line in advance- no walk-ins.

"No Longer Free"

It is $15/nt now, which is just fine for a one night stop, just passing through. There is an electronic kiosk so you can use a credit card and a camp host. Simple, no service, park on the Colorado River- which is cool! Mostly quiet, except for... Read more

"Rough around the edges and pricey."

There aren't many places to overnight in this area so we swung in here. It needs some TLC for sure. It is a little scruffy around the edges. The dumpster was full. Many sites are super short. The sites had electric, but not water. The kiosk... Read more
