We needed a 50 amp outlet to charge our Rivian pulling our Casita camper. The power supply was fine. Feels like mostly seasonal campers. No real charm. Spent one night.

We camped in campsite V with my 29 foot class A. Campground V is pretty far from bathrooms, hiking trails and swimming beach. This place is huge! Two of the men's bathroom showers were broken. Way overpriced for what you get and dont get. Camp V is along side a highway and does have noise.

It wasn't. The place needs an upgrade- broken pavement everywhere, chunks of pavement and rocks everywhere, small amounts of trash scattered throughout. Poor signage to get to sites and to get into sites. Most sites unlevel.
The Lake is nice, but very murky, probably from all the runoff.
The gatehouses- yes two of them, are lovely newer buildings- much fancier than most campgrounds have. Yet the campsites have not seen a bit of work in years. Too bad, because this could be a nicer place.

My husband and I (and our dog) stayed here 1 night on our way to Austin TX. When I read the reviews I thought it would be just fine considering it was near some water! I’ll start with pros and cons
PROS
- campsite was next to bathrooms , and they were very nice , had showers
- campsite was across from the lake!
- water for our dog to play in
- dirt bike / ATV trails
- no mosquitoes (but smaller bugs)
CONS
- trash EVERYWHERE! Broken glass , empty plastic bottles , bags of food , unfinished soda cans. Literally all over the grass, tables, and in the lake :( Just a general lack of caring. (There were plenty of dumpsters to dispose of these things)
- factory near by that was LOUD and started very early in the morning
- street lamps never turned off so we had them shinning in our tent all night
- no maps or any kind of signs to help you find the campsite, so we drove around the whole lake
- having to make a reservation for a specific site when there were a lot of sites (and better ones) available.
- food in every fire bit
In summary, we would not choose this place again. I would only recommend it to kids who have dirt bikes and fun toys.

We booked the night before we camped (which I do not recommend because we were lucky to get a spot) We camped in campground V because all the A and B spaces were full. There was zero shade where we camped. It was 110 degrees. We had a nice time. I would not camp in this heat again without shade. The lake is VERY busy on weekends and traffic can be tight with all the vehicles. There is. A steep decline on the way in which makes for a steep including on the way out. There is a marina with a restaurant and a small store. We had 2 adults and one child. Entry fees were $55 for two days. Camping reservation was $45, so a total of $90 for no shade, wide, back-in space with electricity and water. Dump stations (2) are located near campgrounds A and B.

This is an unexpected quirky oasis. We’ve only camped here in the off time to come visit our Techer & watch a football game. It’s laid back this time of year. I can imagine how packed it can be during summer. Bathrooms in the Campground area A are clean & nice and even heated on a cold morning. Lots of police driving around. Only negatives for us is the $10-11 per person per day on top of the camping fee. It still is is cheaper for 2 nights than staying in a hotel and we love camping but still have to drag it up there. The other we’ve only experienced 1x out of the 4 nights we’ve stayed but the local power plant blows off steam. The night we experienced it from 2-4:30am we thought maybe World War III had broken out. It was a constant sound of fighter jet engine sounds. That was not enjoyable in the least. Unnerving. Hostile. It’s about 20 minutes from Texas Tech. Sites are established but mostly sandy and can need some leveling in the A & B sites.

We had to stay, unexpectedly, in Lubbock for some repairs. Not a lot of choices around the Lubbock area.
Gate attendant was very friendly. She recommended the A loop as the nicest. Full hook-ups and parking on a slab. Since we were only going to be here for 3 or 4 nights we took her advice. Difference was $5 per night.
Pulled around to the A loop and found broken asphalt and unlevel sites. Picked the best we could and settled in. Friday night the entire campground was full.
Didn't see anyone cleaning the campground during our stay. I had to spend 20 minutes picking up trash around our site after pulling in.
