"Nice Park"

Beautiful desert surroundings. High winds. Very dusty. No cell phone reception but lots of open sky for Starlink and solar. Pit toilets and water but no threads on the spigot. The visitor center seems permanently closed. Even though you see the... Read more

Beautiful beach and sunset views. First come first serve. Lots of empty spaces in October during the week . Different animals are visiting the campground as soon as the sun goes down. My camera recorded foxes and some other animals I couldn't... Read more

" I was told $90/night Plus tax. Gold mine for sure"

Right by a highway. I came in when it was unhealthy smoke in the area to get hookups but they said $90/night plus tax for a 30amp site. I said no thank you

"The campground on the hill is awesome"

I'd like to share some information that may not have been mentioned before about this park—it actually has two campgrounds to choose from. One is on the ground level, the MAIN campground with reservable sites by the river. The other one is located... Read more

"If you like the noise and smell of generators...."

I spent a few days there in September. The campground is in a heavily wooded area with no hookups for RVs. Hiking trails start on the camp store side of the park. The caves are by the visitor center, within walking distance. You're probably better... Read more

"Great hiking trails, not much reception, heavily wooded"

I spent 3 nights here. Hiking is great, trails are everywhere. It was raining so it was muddy, but that happens when it is raining for days on and off. There is an electric hookup 30AMP but water is spread out throughout the campground and one at... Read more

"If you need any types of solar or open sky, this is not for you"

I think this campground will work for you if you like to be in the woods, totally in nature, disconnected from the world and most amenities. If you however have an RV that requires solar to keep batteries charged or you want any phone reception,... Read more

"Remote Beach Camping for Free"

I loved this white sand/shell beach. Campers are spread out. You can walk on the beach for miles. I spent 3 nights here in a Class C. It was hot and humid but because of the wind, it was bearable. Very remote, there is nothing nearby for many... Read more

"Very pretty State Park, with hiking trails, many spots are too small for RVs"

I have reserved my spot on the lake for 5 days but when I arrived I realized that my spot is too small for my RV and very uneven. I had to go back and request another site, they put me in one of the "emergency sites" which was more in the back of... Read more
