We arrived very late at night. The entrance looked very desolate and questionable in the dark but it was late and we just needed to sleep for the night. Woke to an amazing view of the rocky cliff formations and a well maintained clean campsite. Lovely and very spacious moderately private spots. We didn’t need water or dumping so it wasn’t an issue for us but I was surprised to see that dumping would cost another $20. I would have given it a solid 5 stars if the water was accessible and the dump station free or cheaper. Would definitely stay here again as long as we were prepared to dry camp only.

We loved staying here! As another review mentioned, we have a 32’ toyhauler and stayed in site #13. The fresh water was locked but the dump takes a credit card. The trails around camp are awesome. We walked behind and up the wash. We stayed during a full moon and I highly recommend it!

It takes a credit card. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, quiet and clean. Website says no motorhomes over 30ft. I have a 39ft motorhome and fit into site 13 with room to spare. Site 24 is a pull through and would fit as well. At least three other sites could accommodate me as well. Campground roads are well maintained. Only a few places where I had to take care maneuvering. I would stay here again without question.

The visitor center seems permanently closed. Even though you see the ranger car coming around there is nobody at the entrance window all self-pay, only cash in envelopes. $25/night which is pricey for what you are getting. Hiking trails with beautiful desert views. There is BLM for free around the area.

Trash dumpsters and pit toilets are scattered around the loop but no water. Potable water and a $20 dump fee are located at the little Visitor Center.
This campground is very good for an overnighter or a good base camp for a multiple night stay.
It can get really windy here so be prepared.

People speed through the parking lot and track a lot of dust on the campers and their property. The sites are way too close to each other. Bathrooms are pit toilets. Not a fan of camping 5 yards from your nearest neighbor. Might be cool if you can come in with a big group and take all the close sites. Lots of families so loud kids and screaming. The best sites are near the back. Just don't be the guy who does 7 loops around the campsites expecting someone to leave if the sites are full. Just go to Jawbone Canyon and stop getting everyone covered in dust as you speed through

Beautiful backdrop, quiet and close to Hwy 395. Be aware that even if you camp here, there is an extra $20.— to dump….

This was our first visit to the area. This State Park was a good place to start. After exploring, we found many Boondocking sites for any future visits. We loved our site and the neighbors, although some neighbors were noisy. Our problem was the value. For the price you get pit toilets, no easy water, and an expensive dump station. Beware! If you want to dump, it costs $20, and you need a credit card. We felt this was a rip off and will only encourage illegal dumping. We probably won’t be back, we found many free sites on BLM property nearby. There is no cell service despite what others may report. Positives: Clean, easy access. Negatives: Pricey, no value, many sites unlevel, expense dump site, no cell service.

Clean quiet campground. Bathrooms and water available. We had no cell service until we turned on the WeBoost then we had 2 bars on LTE. Very windy at night until it cools down. Sites are mainly small for cars and tents but we found a pull through one the was perfect. First come first serve camping.

A real nice state park with lots of interesting rock formations to climb on and explore and sites spaced pretty far from each other. No hint of reception though on any carrier.
