As the others have said, yes, there is shooting here. It didn’t bother me and stopped before the sun went down. Skip the first few sites and go about 1/3 of mile (shortly after the fork, stay to the left) then off to the right is the best spot... Read more

Box Canyon road is open. Easy to drive, nice road. However, I could not find any obvious sites off the road. It’s a beautiful area and would have loved to stay there. There were a couple side roads marked 4x4, maybe that’s where people camp?

Seems to be mostly an RV Park (we stay in a converted truck bed). Very tight quarters and not much privacy. People were nice and it was super clean. They have a hot tub, pool, sauna and awesome hot showers. A little pricey but worth it considering... Read more
