This is a VERY busy area with 10-15 campers parked in that small area each night. The sign even says multiple campers can use each site. Camping etiquette wasn’t great. We had someone park their trailer almost directly in front of our Airstream. There was NO way to hook up if we needed to leave that night or even the next morning without them moving their camper. People were friendly, but this was just not our cup of tea.

Road to the upper site area is pretty rough so definitely need to take it slow and also having someone to go walk the road to the top to insure you don’t go up with a trailer and encounter someone coming down with one as well. Other than that this is great site!! Very close proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone

I drove in to scout campsites on 6/3/24. The lower area was open but right after that, by the toilet, the road was closed to vehicles. Just a heads up if you’re planning to go there soon.

We arrived in early afternoon in our 35’ fifth wheel, had no problem getting in and was lucky enough to get a spot with good views. While we were there I counted 20 people that were staying in this area, lots of vans but a handful of big rigs too. Definitely recommend driving through to see if you get a good spot.

Way more campers here than the number of sites. It is a nice spot for the views. I had someone pull in behind me at 1:00 AM and parked about 5’ behind my van. Some folks left early but it was still full when I left at 10:30.

We weren’t able to stay here, or really any dispersed areas nearby because all the roads were still closed- I just wanted to throw this up in case others were thinking of dispersing this time of year. We didn’t realize the roads would be closed, the only area you could get to was the very lower part of this road where the first vault toilet is- and it was busy and muddy… forest service said the roads should be opening up soon, but maybe call ahead to double check if you’re headed this way… forest service had some recommendations for the area, but we ended up at Gros Ventre CG instead.

We saw the dumbest campers of our whole trip here. Generators run all day on their luxury trailers and disturb the peace. People leave their cars running for hours before they finally get in. What for? No respect for nature. Someone drove into the bushes with his truck and ruined the environment. Why don't you stay at home if you don't know how to behave? Can't you live without your stupid generators or without damaging the environment? You are a shame for all real campers.
