There are only maybe 3 sites with a little bit of shade of the whole 80+ sites, so bring some sort of coverage. The spots are nicely spaced out, there is water and a dump station. We will absolutely be back here! All first come first served, $10/night which is a great deal!

Breathtaking views of Mt. Whitney. A Ranger stopped by and gave us the local history as well as informing my son that the best place to fish for trout was at nearby Diaz Lake off hwy 395 just South of Lone Pine.

$10 dollars a night for dry camping. There is no water in the winter time. You will most certainly love the views.

This is our 3rd time camping here at Tuttle Creek and as the past 2 times it was almost perfect, this site was almost level close to the creek which you can hear from your site, we had some friendly little critters scampering about and were frequented by a small covey of quail daily... The weather was great not to cold at night mid 30's and prefect during the day low 70's... For the most part our neighbor's were nice, polite and most important they were quite except for this one ahole in a class A who would run his generator at all hours of the day and night we could just barely hear it from our site but others closer to him were quite annoyed especially after him running it at 3 am in the morning so they complained to the camp host after getting nowhere asking him not to run it at night.. He stopped after the camp host explained camping etiquette and the camp rules....

Arrived at sunset on a Friday night but there were plenty of available spots. We stayed at #45 which is spread well apart from other sites to the side. The campground was clean and there were plenty of toilets in the area. Verizon cell signal was 4 bars LTE. Beautiful view of sunrise. Nightly rate is now $10.

Most are large enough for 30 ft trailers and suv although may not be very level. Bring those blocks and you'll be fine. About 20% of the sites were tent users. This first week in October found it to be half full on a Thursday night. For those not willing to pay the $10/night would say there's a few BLM sites east of the campsite road we came in on along with a few east of Movie road and a few along a stream bed North of Lone Pine Campgrounds. Just use Google satellite view to search them out along with the BLM map overview on this website 😀
Has small creek running through it.

I arrived around 1AM after work on Friday and settled in at site #23. It took a while for me to angle the trailer just the right way in the moon light but once I had it just right I was rewarded in the morning with a beautiful view of the mountains and the sun rising. First day was perfect nice and warm with minimal flies. The second day we had consistent 15-20 mph gusts. It was rough to sit outside without getting sand blasted. Instead I opted to eat dinner inside the trailer.

We loved Tuttle Creek Campground! The sites are large with fantastic views. No hook-ups; however, there are fresh water stations and a dump station. We had Verizon 4G LTE which was a bonus. The only negative is that we found several piles of dog poop throughout the campground.

This was our second stay here and when we arrived, we both said we had forgotten how beautiful the views are! Last time we stayed in a pull-thru site on the lower section on the South side of the creek. This time we drove up a bit past the camphost to a back in site against the creek. Nice little spot to let the dog get her paws wet and beautiful views of the Eastern Sierra. Long enough site to not un-hook and level enough. A bit close to the site above us, but we just randomly grabbed one. Site 8 is probably my favorite!
Love the senior discount and love that they have a dump station here - which we gladly paid the $5 fee.
Nice to have trash receptacles too.
Really love this place!
