Agree with previous comments. No bear boxes but each site did have a tallish pole with a hook for hanging things from. I don't know if bears are a problem there but I second the suggestion to stop at the Inter Agency office in Lone Pine for info.

No bear boxes. We have stayed there twice and have never seen a bear or heard of anyone seeing a bear.

I don’t remember bear boxes in an individual site, just bear proof trash bins at the entrance..

As of three years ago there were not any bear boxes. I was not aware that bears were an issue at this location.

No - there are no bear boxes. Each site as a picnic table and a fire pit. I believe I recall near each table is a tall pole to hang a garbage bag from to keep critters out. Not sure if this is good bear habitat. it’s high desert.

I do not believe there are. I do remember seeing bear boxes at Lone Pine Campground a few miles north, however.

No. However, bear boxes/containers can be rented from some of the forest service offices and a few sporting goods stores. I'm not sure which direction you're coming from but check with the Bishop office or the Interagency Office in Lone Pine for availability. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/inyo/recarea/?recid=20698
