Stayed here while visiting Capitol Reef Natl Park. Really convenient and easy, nice staff, restrooms very nice, sites level. All full hook ups worked great. Quiet off the road, so no road noise!

WiFi IS WORKING, previous review might have been here prior to it being up and running. We are in a 38’ Super C with tow and the pull through is just right. Sites (and roads) are heavy compacted rock, we are only using electric as it is expected to freeze tonight so we didn’t hook up water. Site is easy to navigate with big rigs. There is a restaurant, laundry, showers and pool on site; however, we haven’t used yet. The town of Torrey is just about 5 minutes back up the road. Small market with food, bakery, souvenirs, etc. We had THE BEST BURGERS at the food truck in their parking lot - Capitol Burger. Ten ++ stars!

Campground is fine for a quick overnight stop, clean and tidy but is pretty tight as others have said. Just don’t expect anything from the wifi. We only really pulled in cause we wanted to top up on water, dump and use the wifi after being off grid for a while. Unfortunately the wifi is so slow it’s unusable.

Happy I don’t have any slide-outs, if I did my neighbor and I could pass the salt to each other while sitting in our campers!
I guess when more than 50% of your campground only stays one night you can stack the customers like cordwood.

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting the Capitol Reef area! We have been here a few times now and keep coming back! The views of the canyons are breathtaking and very close to downtown Torrey. The sites are well maintained and groomed daily, as well as clean. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Some of the sites along the back near the fence are a bit tight, however the pull throughs are spacious. We have also stayed in the cabins before and are cute and roomy with nice private back “yards” and front porches with chairs. The pool area is a bit small for the size of the campground and could use some upkeep, however still enjoyable. The gift shop is a must see and the best one near Capitol Reef! There are many clothes, trinkets, Native American decor, and camping supplies to choose from. There is now a grille however it is expensive. Sites are gravel with some full hookup and other partial hookup. It was a bit noisy due to the campground being full and the sites are somewhat close together and close to the cabins. The campground could use some more room as they have tried to fit a lot of sites and amenities into a “smaller” campground. The views are truly breathtaking and easy access to hiking trails, OHV trails. This is a must visit campground if you are looking to take in the beauty of the colorful Utah canyons!

We stayed here for two nights to get out of the heat. Unfortunately, the park had low voltage issues on Saturday and we had to babysit our air conditioning instead of enjoying the area. When I called the office to report the issue, they acted like it wasn't a big deal and said they'd send someone to check. No one ever came to check. Voltage was dipping below 100 at times until Sunday. I wouldn't stay here again if it's going to be crowded.
Otherwise it was clean and well maintained. ATT speeds were good at 91mbps down and 10mbps up with a roof mounted Pepwave antenna.

I had high hopes for this campground based on its website, but sadly that didn’t work out. Unfortunately, this once green park is nothing but a gravel pit with the exception of the area around the office and pool. It wouldn’t take much to level the sites, but no. They like to do business in “cash”… Our biggest mistake was renting a Jeep from them. The staff was unfriendly and gave us very strong instructions on how we were to return the Jeep. Clean inside and out, no dust inside. Period. Go find a car wash and vacuum, make sure you dry it completely, etc. Then they say absolutely no dogs. Lastly, they charged $233.49 a day for what is a maximum allowable period of 11.5 hours, not 24. As the owner said, “I need to sleep”. We spent a long time detailing their Jeep which was a over-the-top requirement.
Internet is nearly non-existent— 320kbps.
Campground fell far short of expectations created by website.

We stopped here to see Capital Reef on our way from Bryce to Moab for 1 night. We had a back-in site with beautiful aview. Neighbours were close but we were lucky that on one side the site was closed (breathing room). Dirt pads but has electricity. Did some much needed laundry which wasn't expensive ($1.75 for a wash and $2.00 for a dry I believe) and had a nice hot shower with no time restriction. Shower stalls were lockable with a good bench. Bathrooms were clean but not much room in the stalls. They have a pool (which was closed), probably nice in the hot months. We just missed the smokehouse BBQ meal they offer (next time I'd arrive in time for that, smelled terrific). I wouldn't stay for a long time but good for a night or two. Cute little cabins but didn't look inside. Staff was warm and friendly and had a nice store. Had cell service.
