Great spot with beautiful sunsets, fun shop, and even homemade muffins in morning for only $1. Super nice woman at reception also.

The campground has a collection of full-hookup and water/electric sites, as well as several tent sites and two sets of cabins. They are generally fully booked in the early fall, so we had to settle for a water/electric site for our 8-day stay. We were located in the row at the back of the campground, which are back-in sites that are quite narrow: the picnic table and fire pit at each site are located at the back of the site because that’s the only place for them. On the other hand, we had great views of the red rock formations behind the campground.
The office also doubles as a store which has a large gift shop, a wall of RV stuff, and a few shelves of snacks/convenience store items. There are bathrooms on the backside of the office building, as well as two other bath houses with bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Next to a large grassy play area there is a small heated swimming pool that’s designed for kids (or for adults content to soak for a bit). There is also a barbecue restaurant and hair salon on site, but both were closed during our stay (probably due to COVID). A small private RV repair shop is located next door to the campground. There’s no dog park, but there were plenty of places to walk our dogs.
The cell service was decent. I saw download speeds around 30Mbps down and 5Mbps up with my Verizon Jetpack hotspot and MIMO antenna, enough to stream TV with rare stutters. Meanwhile, my AT&T cellphone was getting 26Mbps down and 3Mbps up.
Torrey is a small town. There are a few restaurants, a gas station with a convenience store, and a large general store that has a few aisles of groceries. But it is the closest town to the main attractions in Capitol Reef National Park. You can also get on scenic byway 12 on the east end of town.

Super nice and kind staffs. All of them know how to maintain RV park. They are even leveling the gravel as soon as the guest left.
It has almost all kinds of facilities RV park could have including a charming gift shop.
Definitely you should stop by the gift shop. It has various kinds of gift items at amazingly affordable price.

Everything is so nice here! Views of red rocks from all sites! Most sites have grass &/or trees. Owners are so thoughtful, they rake the sites between campers so they stay level. Tent sites have wooden fences to protect them from the constant wind.
Will definitely return when we travel anywhere near here!

One of the nicest private RV parks I’ve stayed in. Simply can’t think of any negatives. Would definitely stay here if you’re visiting Capital Reef National Park.

These sites don't have any grass (other rows do) and you get A LOT of dust. Also, the placement of the fire rings are not ideal. Our fire ring was under the slide of the rig next to us so we were unable to use.
The staff is very friendly and they do have a nightly dinner that you can opt-in to for a fee. The price doesn't justify the grounds.

We came to this area for the first time. We were very happy with our stay. Stayed five days and felt we had a great camping spot, close to Capitol Reef NP. Staff was great and the gift shop was nice. My hubby used the pool every day, while not the nicest pool we have seen, it was clean and still open in late September. Our site was on the east side, and not on the north where the views of the red rocks are great. HOWEVER, the sites on the north side with the views looked very tight. We had plenty of room, and had a decent rear and side yard that we could hang out in. They have a small fire pit for wood fires in the sites, and most have a picnic table. The pull through spaces in the middle looked good, but we were very happy on east side. Easy access to Torrey and the NP. A great location! We would come again. This also looked to be the nicest, newest RV Park in the area.

We stayed here for a week while spending time working remotely and touring Capitol Reef National Park. The location was great for the national park access and the views of the sunsets were amazing. Our spot in site 17 gave us unobstructed views of the west that were just gorgeous. Although the highway parallels the RV park, road noise was minimal.
The staff was friendly and the park was clean. Maintenance crews were working constantly to maintain the park. There was a nice little BBQ place that provided nightly dinners (expensive, but good and convenient). The gift shop has essentials. There is a general store in nearby Torrey with a better selection of food items. For real groceries, the closest store is in Loa, about 15 minutes away, so plan accordingly. Propane exchange on site, but if you want propane filled, you'll have to go to the Wonderland RV park down the street.
Internet connectivity was overall poor. If we didn't have T-Mobile, there is no way we'd have been able to work there for the week. WiFi was spotty and pretty slow, especially upload speeds if that matters to you like it does to us. Verizon and AT&T were both useless, and I imagine Sprint is the same.
Even though connectivity was a challenge, we would not hesitate to stay here again. We had a wonderful time.

We had been boondocking near Bryce and wanted some comforts. We tried Sand Creek RV but they were full. So they called Thousand Lakes for us, and we got a spot. Laundry, a nice restaurant, and good shower. They have a small pool and a basketball court, too. 10 miles to Capitol Reef.

We work during the day so most of our time hiking in the park was in the evening so it was nice to be close enough to hop on over there for a hike or two. Verizon data did not work here, but my Verizon talk/text did work. AT&T data worked well so we used that for work. We were fortunate that they gave us one of the nice and large back-in sites; the interior pull-through sites looked a lot smaller. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because they charge extra for children. Hotels don't charge extra for our kids to stay in the room with us, so I don't understand why some RV parks charge extra for kids to stay in our RV. Anyway, if a place charges a "kid-tax" I can't rate them as excellent because that does not seem very family-friendly to me.
