I stayed at Wonderland RV in April 2023. I had a back-in site which was easy to get into. There's plenty of room between RVs. They have some cabins as well as sites dedicated for tents. Additionally, if you're visiting Utah with friends who aren't camping there are a number of motels in Torrey; one within walking distance of the RV park. There are numerous restaurants in Torrey as well for those times you're not cooking at your camp.
The campground is meticulously maintained by the owners/managers who are on-site from morning to evening (7pm).
Check-in is easy with plenty of room to park. And the sites are plenty big for your RV, trailer and TV, or toad.
I can't recommend Wonderland RV highly enough.

Our experience with Wonderland RV Park began with a phone call several days before our intended stay to inquire about rv repair services in Torrey. We were having a problem with our gray tank valve. They were kind enough to recommended a repair shop close by. Our next encounter was upon check in where the staff was willing to work with us regarding our reservations which we wanted to alter due to ensuing severe winter weather. We appreciated their consideration for us.
Now for the facilities themselves. I challenge anyone to find a cleaner restroom, laundry & shower facility. Absolutely pristine! Need a 50 to 30 amp adapter? No problem one is hanging on a chain by the electrical pedestal. The grounds are meticulously kept, the dog park is clean (we NEVER find this ANYWHERE!), shade trees, pastoral views out back, gas/diesel across the street, restaurants within walking distance, cute duckies waddling about, propane on-site, and of course the location right outside Capitol Reef NP. Yes, some sites back up to the road, but it's not a 4 lane highway with constant traffic, it is a 2 lane state highway that sees little traffic at night. The other rows of sites are quieter so if that is a concern you may want to ask for a site away from the road. They also have cute cabins to rent, one even fashioned from a sheep herder's wagon--ADORABLE!
We have found everyone to be polite & accommodating and would definitely stay again.

We spent two nights here at Wonderland RV Park, visiting Capitol Reef, the Grand Stairway / Escalante National Monument, and other nearby scenic areas. This place is awesome! The staff members were friendly and efficient, and we had a completely flat site near the shower/restroom area. The sites could be slightly more apart…but it wasn’t bad as there are a lot of trees. Our hookup was a 50A and we run 30A; no problem, if we hadn’t had our own “dogbone” adapter, there was one at the site.
The Wi-Fi was probably the best I’ve ever had at any RV park! We were concerned when we originally got to the campsite that we would hear a lot of road noise as there is construction on State Hwy 24, but after dark we rarely heard a thing. Very quiet.
We’re having issues with the hot water heater in our RV, so it was good to know they had showers. The shower rooms are spotlessly clean, big, and have plenty of places to hang towels or place items that need to be put away during a shower. The showers are hot, and are on a timer (7 minute shower followed by a 5 minute hold so people don’t hog the shower!).
If there is one complaint I’d make, it’s that there isn’t a place to do dishes if your hot water heater is out. The restrooms and the sink in the laundry area are marked “No dishwashing”. It would be nice to have at least one place to wash dishes.
BTW, when I said “completely flat site” I meant it. I use a LevelMate Pro+ to determine how much “leveling” I’ll need to do - when I pulled in, it showed 0” all around — meaning the site was completely flat.
If I were coming back to Torrey in the future, I’d definitely book the Wonderland RV Park. It’s worth the cost!

Our biggest complaint is our site backed up to rot 24. Motor cycles and 18 wheelers! At night it was mostly quiet and during the day we were gone, but it killed dinner at the campsite. If I had read the Aug 18 review before we booked I never would have stayed. Miss treating a child and property damage are never OK.

The staff I encountered were pleasant, friendly and smiling without coming across as gratuitous…a bunch (flock?) of ducks and ducklings walked through the park on some sort of mission at about 5pm…they were noisy but then they’re ducks so…
The park is fairly close to highway 12, but the noise was within reason for a pleasant stay…with the exception of one motor-head on an unmuffled motorcycle…we’re staying multiple nights so if my experience changes then I’ll share my ongoing observations. BK

Our 5th wheel was hooked up and ready to leave and we had some battery problems, so I told both my kids to go use the campground bathrooms before we left. My 7 year old son was wearing a dress that day. They are a boy and uses a boys bathroom, though they like to wear dresses sometimes. An employee named Jason stopped them and says they are using the wrong bathroom, and that the girls restroom is next door. My son tell them they are not a girl, but the employee still kicks them out of the bathroom and blocks the door so he cannot go in. My wife approaches asked the employee what was going. The guy replies, She is wearing a dress, and looks like a girl. She cant use the boys bathroom. My wife tells him my child is not a girl, they just like to wear dresses. He replies to her pointing at our child, You know what that is? That is a mental problem, that's what that is! Your son has a mental disorder! All of this right in front of my 7 and 9 year old children. My son stormed off crying and my wife told him he was extremely rude and followed our son away. The man, Jason, shouted that she was the one being rude and went about his business as if nothing happened.
As we were leaving the RV park, that same man (Jason) was using a weed whacker in the driveway. He turned towards my truck and shot up a handfull of rocks at our truck. Our truck now has several dings and scratches on the driver side. I rolled down the window and yelled at him, Hey, you just shot out a bunch of rocks at my truck! He told me my truck was already scratched up and he didnt do anything. I took out my phone to take a picture of the guy (Jason) so we could file a complaint later. He got extremely upset and started charging at our truck with his weed whacker in hand yelling What, you want my picture now! Ill make it easier, my name is Jason! He was looking to start a fight (in front of both of my children), so I quickly drove away.
I came back shortly after to complain to the owner of the park. He tried to brush it off as if his employee was just having a bad day, and that he was really a good guy. I told him, No, a good guy doesnt treat a 7 year old child that way. He claims the weed whacker damage was an accident, (though he made no attempt to fix the damage), clearly the employee had it out for us and thought he was being clever. We are lucky our windows were closed and he didnt send one of us to the hospital. It is hard to describe the anger we felt towards this RV park and their employee, Jason. I fear that my complaint to the owners of the park fell upon deaf ears and the man who verbally assaulted our brave 7 year old child will still be working there tomorrow as if nothing happened. The best we can do is share our story in hopes that other families can avoid people and businesses like this. If you have LGBTQ family members or support LGBTQ people and their families, please do not stay at this park.

Nice CG in the heart of Capitol Reef country. Sites are close together, there's road noise, but no worries. We slept well, keeping active sightseeing & hiking.
Showers are very clean, grounds in great shape, neighbors were quiet.

This is one of the best maintained private campgrounds I’ve stayed in. Nice grass areas for me to walk my dogs plus a nice grassed dog run. Great access to Capitol Reef NP. Staff were very helpful. Sites that back out to the pasture are the most private and quiet. Excellent Verizon service.

Cons: late night check in policy - we had an empty space next to us until about 9:30PM when an RV pulled in and proceeded to slam doors, makes lots of noise and keep a bright outside light on shining into our rig while they set up. They left at 11PM and then came back at MIDNIGHT and proceeded again to make noise and light up their spot until about 2AM - yes, that is 2AM the middle of the night. The park can’t do anything about rude and inconsiderate people, but maybe the late night/after dark check in policy needs some re-thinking. Not sure whether I would revisit this RV park if you can’t count on a peaceful night’s sleep.
