Got lucky, this was the last spot. Great views, quiet and spacious. Other sites were not level. Cell quality bad, but I use Starlink so Wi-Fi was great

This was a great place that was not busy at all. The views are amazing. The only downfall would be is that is very windy.

Got to Sultan around 1p on Fri of 4th of July weekend. Grabbed pretty much the last spot. Close to Silverton and gave us the chance to explore there for a little bit. Campground was packed but clean. It was really quiet for the number of campers there. Everyone was respectful with the noise and generators. Sultan is on the river so I am sure the water masked some of the noise though. Nice to explore along the water and meadow. Great mountain view’s along the water as well as open field to explore. Saw deer in the meadow and moose tracks too. Mosquitos at dusk so did make it a little hard to stay outside long. Would stay again for sure.

Even on the 4th of July weekend, this place was not overly packed. People were spread out, affording one another the elbow room I have come to admire in what percentage of the human race's blood still thrives on a modicum of camp decorum.
If there's a downside to this spot, it's that it's right on the highway, which is gorgeous by the way...drive it all the way to Durango if you didn't come from that direction...so if you don't drive relatively far back in, and you brought your guitar, you'll be jamming to the noodling of everything from big rigs to 98% of the world's Toyota 4runner inventory well into the night.

It's such a beautiful area, it's hard to go wrong around here. I pulled in and immediately found a nice spot with a fire ring and a nice view. It's such a beautiful area, it's hard to go wrong around here. I pulled in and immediately found a nice spot with a fire ring and a nice view. Looks like you can go back pretty far in if your vehicle can handle the rough road. I was here during the week and I could see a few other vehicles around, but it still felt like I had the peace and quiet I wanted. Depending on where you camp, you'll probably hear the cars going down the highway. Not a problem for me since they were obscured from view.
