There are some long term residents here but it’s quiet and we were never bothered. Some areas are cleaner than others. There are some ATV trails nearby so there’s some occasional traffic. The views are great.

It was just ok for us. The road further back to quieter sites is rough and unlevel. Barely doable in our 40’ 5er. Not many areas to turn around. The area in the front is somewhat flatter but has road noise. The berms further back we’re quite big too.

We stayed here February 2022. There were plenty of areas to camp with fire rings. We parked far enough away from the road, so there wasn’t any road noise. However, there were a few side by sides that drove by at least once a day.
Really enjoyed walking through the desert and breathing in the fresh air. It was pretty windy at night.

Camped 5/3/21 (Monday night). When we arrived we pulled in by the BLM sign and spoke to a guy who had been contemplating camping there. He had driven around some and warned us the roads were soft - he was moving on to camp elsewhere. Our truck has 4WD, so we decided give it a go anyway and followed the road straight back to get farther away from the highway noise (non-stop). Yeah, it was VERY soft gravel in a lot of areas and rutted.
We chose the first spot that looked pull-in-able, and it happened to be right next to a fence. On the other side was the cement company. They started the equipment the next morning, oh right around 5 am.
Our view in the other direction of the cement plant was nice. There was a fire ring of rocks, and our site was actually fairly level and big. I think there was one other camper in the distance; it was understandable why we had the place to ourselves. The 2014 road pictures here on Campendium do not reflect the roads as we found them, torn up by ORVs. I took a picture in the evening light to show how the road we took looks. In all fairness, based on what the guy told us, we did not explore other roads in this BLM area. Some may not be as bad. There was one that went right along the fence and it was not soft, but where it intersected with the road we took, it was super soft sand/gravel. The front area where you pull in from the highway was not soft.
With the continual road noise, the cement plant noise and soft roads, we'd choose another place next time.

While it is close to the road the noise wasn't bad. Small area with level sites. We usually visit Craggy Wash but is was over crowded and this fit us just fine.

We stayed here for 9 nights in late January 2021. We were surprised to hear the beeping of a frontloader backing up at the nearby concrete plant on the first morning, but it quickly became a non issue and more background noise than anything. We drove in almost a mile from the highway, and the road is rough, but doable if you drive slowly. Because it is desert, you could still hear the highway even a mile away. That, too was usually jsut background noise until a loud rig or motorcycles drove the highway. There were a number of campers who came and went during the 9 days we were there, but it never felt crowded. The area is well spread out and you can find a site some distance from others if you look and drive around a bit. As noted by others, a good staging area for the numerous ATV opportunities, many starting with a long drive up Standard Wash, but still fun. The weather got cold after a few days, and we experienced one of the few snows in that area. It was interesting to see cacti and other desert plants with snow on them.
Lake Havasu City is a fine city, but they lack good bicycling trails and diverse places to go besides the London Bridge, the "island" and the walking around the "channel". I guess we got a little spoiled at some of the other destinations we visited on our month long January 2021 quest for the sun and warmth. Cell phone service was unavailable until you drove a couple of miles on the highway towards town. If you're a fisherman, Site 6 on the island is a fun place to shore fish from where you can snag your bait then fish for bass and catfish in the same spot.
Stayed here in a 40 foot-long Fifth Wheel (RV).

Not a bad spot, close to town.. day I was there it was pretty windy, it’s an exposed area. Had great service there. Not a place I would spend multiple days, there are better locations for that but good for a night!

The left fork goes up a hill there are only a couple flat spots on top of the hill. The only good thing; it's a couple of miles from the town of Lake Havasu. The BLM location North of Lake Havasu is much better

“Glorified Homeless Encampment”
noted 2/12/2023
I try not to be too judge about what people are camping in on BLM land, but this place gives off a very sketchy vibe the second you turn off the main road. Went back about a mile and did not have a good feeling about staying there and be able to feel safe leaving the trailer to go out and explore. Turned back around and went up to craggy wash which is SO much better then this place. Highly recommend to find somewhere else to stay, unless maybe its just a stop over for a night to get some rest.
