The road and around the whole reservoir there is sand covered with a layer of gravel (didn’t really help much). I can imagine it’s a nice overnight stay in summer when it’s very dry but wouldn’t recommend in a big rig in winter. It is also a quite noisy as it’s right off the highway.

It was the perfect spot to say goodbye to Colorado! We were the only ones here. Reservoir was a beautiful setting and we had an awesome sunset. Heard the coyotes and owls after dark. Is next to the road but after sunset there wasn’t too much traffic. Found a level spot and didn’t need to unhook.

The reservoir is beautiful. We got in late so we didn’t sit outside, but I would assume there would be mosquitoes at the right time of year. There’s... more
A nice gravel lot. Easy to get to right off of 71. Plenty of space for any size rig. It’s a drive-through so you don’t have to turn around. We did have to use about 2 inch leveling blocks. The reservoir is beautiful. We got in late so we didn’t sit outside, but I would assume there would be mosquitoes at the right time of year. There’s obviously going to be road noise because we’re by the highway, but it wasn’t that bad. I was surprised that we were the only ones here.
