Beautiful peaceful place by the river. Great people. Only complaint. One bunch of people across the river played crappy thumping annoying dance music from morning til night with no thought of anyone but themselves. In between songs nothing but silence and the sound of the river. No one else doing it. And if they were it was at a tolerable level. Entitlement at its finest. Tried to ignore but with the subwoofer constantly thumping it got increasingly annoying. Awesome spot except for…..And I know it’s to be expected somewhat but this was just too much. Cheers

We stayed early April 2024 for three nights. There are quite a few sites most with rock fire rings. Cottonwood trees for shade at most sites. About 17 miles to Zion. Lots of different rigs use this blm area. Big rigs stay close to the main road. If you dare some cross the creek to camp on the other side. Mostly a nice quiet spot.

Waking up this morning to beautiful cool, crisp morning next to a babbling creek. Arrived around 6:30 last night. A handful of spots were open. No trouble parking. It's about 13 miles to the south entrance of Zion National Park.

We showed up Monday evening March 10. Easy to find the location. Parked before the first entrance and walked the campground, selected a spot, and settled in. Came in the first entrance with a 30' trailer. I have high clearances so it went ok. Second entrance is much smoother. Planned to stay a few days but we both got sick and stayed 7 days.
There are fire pits, but no tables, pit toilets, hosts, or fee deposit boxes. The only water is in the creek. The place is getting pretty worn down. There was not a lot of garbage but stay out of the brush (no pit toilets). The noise wasn't bad even on the Saturday evening we spent here. But this is not the pristine wilderness experience you are looking for. It's where you sleep while vacationing in the area. Everyone was very well behaved while we were here. More than half are cars with tents but a few other camp trailers, all smaller than ours. Not much generator noise.
Many sites all along the creek. Not very many sites for rigs as big as us. Surface is clay and gravel. We were here during a minor rain one afternoon and we would not have been able to leave for a day after that because the clay was too sticky. Sites are separated by a shrub standing 4-5 ft tall. And there are cottonwood trees. Firewood is in very short supply onsite. It is private property to the north and the south and fenced. We saw some other places back toward town where people are setting up tents and/or trailers but we didn't investigate.
This place is right across the road from the 2022 Red Bull Rampage (the superbowl of mountain biking). That site was clearly a draw to a number of the folks here.
In contrast with previous reviewers, I have had 2-4 bars 5G Verizon the whole time here. So I wonder if another tower has gone up nearby.
We would stay here again. Convenience is its best attribute and the inevitable impact of crowds on a small unmanaged piece of ground the worst.

Wow! This spot is a gem! its so nice to hear the river flowing through the night. Very quiet and peaceful, very close to Zion Kalob Terrace entrance. We have a 34' rv and we managed to get through some rougher terrain and park by the river! We can hear coyotes at night

Very peaceful place to stay. There were around 10-20 campers here during our stay. Plenty of spots and great views. We only went up the road from Hwy 9 about a mile and turned into the BMX track area. Highly recommend if you are visiting Zion. Only a 24 minute drive away.

I arrived late afternoon a Thursday and the place was mostly full. Had a campground feel to it. I did find a spot that was fairly level and it was quiet at night. Road getting in had deep ruts from previous wet times. I won’t want to be here when it rains. Looks like the road gets very “slimey”.

I arrived midday and found a nice spot near the creek that required minimal leveling. There were some ruts I the road and muddy areas caused by the recent rains and snow. It was not crowded, plenty of space, and quiet. It would have been a great place for stargazing if it hadn’t been cloudy. There are no bathrooms, no potable water, no tables, no fire rings, just boondocking. The water in the creek was murky and brown. AT&T Cell service was great. I stayed 2 nights and moved out before the predicted rain came as it was evident that the place would turn into a red, muddy mess. There was a gravel BMX bike parking lot on the way in that several people were using to boondock that was not as muddy. This location is about 15 minutes from Zion NP. The park was busy and I opted to park in the town of Silverdale ($20) and ride the free bus to the Zion Visitor Center and then ride the free Canyon Shuttle for a first look. If you’re visiting the park go early. The town shuttle starts at 8 AM. It starts getting crazy crowded any later in the morning.
