We stayed 2 nights as we made our way from the Grand Canyon to Zion. This is a very nice, relaxed place to stay and the water access is refreshing. Be sure to stay on the hard-pack road down to the beach area (pass the restroom/bathhouse and take the lower of the two gravel roads. Do not take the left into sand!) there is plenty of room to set up in hard ground at the top of the sandy dune. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We did take the wrong turn and a nice Samaritan, Dusty (thank you, Dusty) pulled us out. Be sure to visit Page (great brewery and Tapatio restaurant), Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Park! There is a dump station but not potable water. It can be a bit noisy with off-roaders.

As of today, May 25, 2023, there is no attendant, no host, no potable water, and no water at the showers. The main bathroom is closed as well. There is a kiosk at the entrance to pay for use of the area. The dumpsters are on site and the dump works.

Or you can stay in the upper section. Be prepared for lots of big rigs and some running their generator till after 11pm. Lots of UTV traffic. Lone Rock is totally out of the water. In 2015 we kayaked around it. Lots of room on the more pebbly part. If close to sandier areas and the wind picks up, be sure to close all your windows or you will have sand blow in. It can get really windy at times.

I plopped in here after spending a night at a Walmart in Page, the only Walmart in Page. It was getting late and I don't like looking for a place when It's getting close to dark and when I'm tired from driving most of the day so I got a fresh starting the morning and stopped by Wahweap campground to get my free lifetime veterans pass. The campground a Wahweap is run by a private company and was too expensive anyhow but that wasn't the purpose in stopping and is just a side note.
The road into Lone Rock is nicely paved until you hit the entrance station. After that you're on the dirt. Stay on the dark dirt. If you don't then you will get stuck in the pretty light brown sand. When in doubt, walk it out. You could carry lots of beer to bribe some beachgoers with a big 4x4 to pull you out. Hot Burritos to go with it would certainly get you a pull. I'm not old enough to have forgotten my younger days. Look for the gnarliest 4X4 you can find, the ones with big tires, raised suspension, and loud. They love to show off what their rig can do.
As of this writing, Lone Rock is also Lone Dry Rock. The only thing between you and it is a muddy little trickle of a stream sporting a bit of mud next to it. It's a bleak picture but real none-the-less. If you go farther to the right of LR then you get into Lake Powell. I hear the water is still cold so beware.
Restrooms are all along the upper beach area. There's an upper beach area and a lower beach area. The lower beach is at the water line and the upper beach is for us more sedate people that have a greater appreciation for the scenery than those at the water line that do a bit of fishing, launching the jet skis, and the kids doing the splish-splash thing.
Sunday is when the custodians came around to do the restroom and I can't attest to them unless I'm desperate, since my rig is fully self-contained.
About 4PM or so until 6 or 7 PM the wind comes up and starts blowing sand around. Even with the air conditioning on and all the windows closed, the sand manages to find a way into your rig so be prepared for that. I was informed this generally only happens in April and a bit into May.

There are multiple levels of Parking. You don’t have to go on the beach. Mid level has many tracks.
There is a dump on site , potable water , garbage cans, toilets and outdoor showers. Lots of space.
If you dont want the noise stay to the left side.

My Husband and I stayed here for a day to swim and to hopefully take a shower.
Showers are okay they squirt out like crazy, kinda annoying to shower.
There is a lot of sand at the bottom, be careful!
But annoyingly the bathrooms were not clean and haven’t been cleaned in a while.
The most we’ve ever paid for and the dirtiest ladies bathroom I have laid my eyes on.
The ladies bathroom had bloody tampons on the ground, the sink had hair clog everywhere, and there are clothes in the shower and in the ladies bathroom.
What did I pad my money for ????
30$ for the park fee (no one was at the booth, you had to pay)
14$ for camping

We did an overnight at Lone Rock which is boondocking in early May. At first, we weren’t sure of going down to the sites, but were told by someone coming up the packed sandy road that everything was good up to the portable restrooms, after that it was sketchy as others had gotten stuck in the sand. We are a 35ft Class A motorhome and it worked for us - solid ground. We were disappointed there was no water around Lone Rock. Lake Powell has dropped 17 feet since last year. We are seniors and it only cost us $7 to stay overnight. It doesn’t come with any amenities other than looking at Lake Powell, at least what is left of it. ATT signal was 80 down and 16 up, so it was easy to stream. No OTA channels. For something to do, we walked along the edge of where the water once was.

I am sure my mistake could have been avoided just by scouting the terrain on foot. As soon as I got out of my van I knew I messed up.
To fully avoid just after you go thru the entrance there is a camping area, any rig should do fine there.
