This is a lovely stay resort !!! The spot we had was tight and wasn’t fond of having the fire pit soo close and right outside my RV door. Spots B9 and B11 were super close to each other almost too close to comfort. I’d suggest those sites be turned into pop ups or super small trailers , we had a 22 from end to hitch and felt it was too big for that spot.
Leveling was almost perfect!!! While resort was Very well graded and roads maintained!! All spots were super nice and leveled!
Other spots are way larger and more space than others and if you can afford it choose the luxury sites! Or choose a spot made for the bigger rigs.
There are a few other spots that are the same too like that. Esp the inbetween spots. End /corner spots tend to have more space . We felt we had plenty of privacy with the landscaping and loved that !
They offer many options for RV and a couple spots were made to where two RV could be in one spot for those wishing to friend camp. That is cool !
They had Glamping tent camping, tiny homes and other cabin options as well which are super nice!
We found it easy access in and easy directions. We were emailed , texted and made sure we knew which way to our spot would be.
The staff is nice and amazing and it’s been quiet with the smoky mountains right behind as our view.
This is the place to be considering especially for those that are wanting bear experience…
it’s right by Cades cove entrance and closest to it… and because of the entrance and drive access was super amazing.
We were able to make many multiple trips to Cades cove to see bears and other wildlife. 🐻 we loved it so much and will stay again if we come back to this area.
If you are into the tourist traps absolutely shopping, there are other camping ground places closer to those. We wanted more nature and wildlife experiences.
We do highly recommend this place as this is truly one of the best places we have ever camped in! One of our top favorites!
Oh, while
You’re there check out the wildlife bear rehab center!!
The bathhouses are nice with hot showers, I found d them on the smaller side but I loved having a code to get in , the outdoor pool, cold plunge and hot tubs were amazingly nice and loved how it was set up. They have a cafe for good food too and this is a perfect spot for the family which they have planned activities that fit all.
On the higher side of pricing, but the amenities are good for what this resort has to offer. Even have pet sitting and spa massages if you want. Highly recommended!!!
We were recommended this place for a Facebook group and glad we listened and reserved !
Just pay attention to the maps and spaces when you reserve cause the slide out side was almost on top of our neighbors. But it worked for what we needed it to be.
Don’t forget to eat at the cafe! The food is good and reasonable prices! Order to go or online too.
Drone photos by me: FAA107 certified
Will replace the bear photo once I’m home and edited 😂

Stayed during Spring Break week in a Class B camper van for 3 nights. This is the most expensive campground we’ve ever stayed at (by more than double) and we were willing to pay a premium because we were meeting family from another state who were going to stay in one of the tiny houses, and we thought we would splurge on a nice riverfront site for a gathering place. Overall, we really liked some aspects of the campground and weren’t impressed with others.
Pros:
- great location in the quiet town of Townsend, close to Cades Cove
- the very nice pool was (surprisingly!) open in April so my 9 year old was thrilled to be able to swim
- the mix of different types of guest housing was nice
- excellent laundry room with seating area
- nice common areas such as covered pavilion near pool
- nice food truck one day
- quiet guests in RV A loop
Cons:
- very crowded, RV sites very close together
- weird layout of diagonal sites on water, with no clear boundaries between sites. On one side, the RV next to us set up chairs and cornhole right behind the rear doors of our van, blocking our river view. On the other side, the black tank hose of the RV next to us was literally 3 feet behind us as we set next to the fire pit (which was a nice fire pit…except for the view of the clear elbow of their black hose)
- bathrooms were a nice (fancy) design but every time I went in to the main women’s room near the pool, all but one toilets were clogged (with poop) and there were no hand towels in the basket. When I reported it to the front desk, I had to wait nearly 10 minutes in line as they took incoming calls and dealt with other guest concerns. Just seemed understaffed
- couldn’t really hear the River at night in the riverside sites…the road noise was always louder
Overall, I might stay here again for the benefit of the quiet town, proximity to GSMNP, pool, and chance to stay with non-RVers, but despite the high-end finishes of Little Arrow’s facilities, the crowdedness and perhaps inadequate staffing made it feel not worth the high end price.

The bathhouses are well appointed and maintained, with nice tile work and fantastic water pressure in the showers (though the toilet stalls are a bit cramped).
The pool area is very nice. The landscaping is very well done and the pool, cold plunge pool, and hot tub are all well maintained and clean. The tile around the pool gets very slippery, though, and it could lead to some nasty spills if you’re not careful.
There are various food trucks set up nearly every day, and the coffee shop area has free WiFi which is nice because we get absolutely no cell coverage here. The campground has Wifi access throughout, but that is an extra charge.
This is our family’s favorite place to camp and try to make it here at least once a year.

We rarely stay at resort style campgrounds as we prefer a more rustic experience. With that said, we would definitely consider staying at Little Arrow again when in the Smokies area. We had a site that overlooked the Little River and the view and sounds of running water were fabulous. There were restaurants and a grocery store a couple of miles from the campground there in Townsend. My only complaint was the tiny bathroom stalls our our loop. The toilets were set quite a distance from the back wall and banging your head on the door was almost unavoidable.

We stayed in one of the luxury spots, and it had a great covered bar/sink, as well as a set of provided (nicer) table, chairs and bench, plus a large fire pit. The space was long enough (89’) for two RVs with full hookups for both. I appreciated the pavers in our space vs the gravel in the standard spaces. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the office/playground/pool/common area fire pit were all new, and well thought out, and well cared for.
In terms of maintenance, I noticed staff would come by to check spaces soon after they were vacated, and would typically use a leaf blower to clean up any buildup from the time the space was occupied. I went into the bath house one night and was very impressed with the cleanliness and finishes.
Cons:
My complaints are minimal, and mostly nitpicking. When moving into the B side loop, the ground is uneven and should be leveled for larger rigs, as I leaned over a little more than I would have liked. Once past that transition, it was smooth sailing with wide roads and plenty of room to maneuver (for reference my RV length is 41’).
The wifi is quick (streaming HD video is reliable) but requires codes to access and tends to drop you and require reauthorization. It’s manageable but could be improved.
I have Verizon, and even with a larger roof antenna (Winnegard Connect), I was unable to achieve ANY cell signal (newer iPhones x 3). Do not expect to be able to make a call if you have Verizon. A 10 minute drive into town brings back the signal if needed. I had a friend with AT&T visit, and they were able to (mostly) make/receive calls.
Overall a great camp, and I think it would be amazing place to visit during the summer due to all the available actives both at camp and in town when the weather is warm (we stayed over Thanksgiving).

They have a secure WiFi that does not really work. Extensive road noise, although at night traffic was very light. The campground is on the side of a hill in a little valley. We were in the A loop which is close to the Little River and down low so that the sun rose and set later than normal. This could be a good thing if you are here in the summer. The pool is under extensive construction but it looks like it will be nice when done. Very convenient to Cades Cove.

We bought river tubes at Ace Hardware in Townsend and got much use out of them. The campground is beautiful and well kept. Access to the National Park was very easy. It’s a great campground for peace and quiet. Everyone there seemed to be there for that reason. I’d highly recommend visiting if you get the chance, you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed three days here in March 2020 before the summer rates kick in. Amid the COVID-19 chaos, we practiced some social distancing over in the Smoky Mountains. Good communications prior to our arrival both online and via a phone call. Campground is well maintained and clean. Sites were level. Each had their own picnic tables and fire rings. Full amenities including cable and WIFI. WIFI was slow, but not an issue. Some sites have covered picnic tables. We stayed in a site that backed up against the river. The river is excellent "white noise" to sleep by. Facilities were operating on a "reduced" level due to the virus, but stay was pleasant none the less. Close to Cades Cove and various hiking trails. Try out the Artistic Bean Coffee shop down the road about a mile for excellent coffee.

Great doesn't do it justice! This campground has everything you could want! Starting with their staff, check-in process, web site. We stayed from the 27th of December 2019 to the 2nd of January 2020. Got an email from the staff. You just park on your site and return to the office and they finish the paperwork. The bathrooms are extremely nice with private shower stalls/drying areas with doors. Nice large, well spaced sites. Their website gives the site length for each site so you can choose appropriately. They have at least one pull thru site if not more. The river front sites are great with every one of them in the A section having easy access down to the river. The B section has a few where the bank is to steep for you to walk down so you might want to call to ask if that is important. The river side sites have a small pavilion structure with deck for your picnic table at each site. Great Playground for the kids. Good sized pool. Laundry room, coffee shop/machine with mugs on the wall if you forgot yours and refrigerator and dishwasher. 1 dollar cup it will grind the coffee as you make it. 1 dollar honor system. Firewood locker and bagged Ice freezer , on the honor system. Small pavilion above the pool with heater and tv's , tables, outdoor couches etc. Basketball court, corn hole, horseshoes pits, clubhouse for rent. Outdoor large pavilion with heaters they provide gas, Community fire pit (they provide wood). No camper they have Glamping tents, Tiny Homes, Bunk houses , Large cabins, Airstream camper rentals x2. Borders the National Park on the quiet end of the Smokey Mountains. They have food trucks on a weekly basis, great camp store with neat items for purchase. The sites have paver patios, fire pits, water, sewer and electric and cable.
If you have to work while there, the internet is very fast for an RV Resort. Very close to the start of the Townsend bike trail. I have probably missed something but you will not regret staying here even at the price. It is well worth the cost. The only noise we could hear was the river running by our site which is also next to the highway going into the park.
