We came late in the night and were happy to discover this nice place, near a little lake in the morning. Quiet environment. Nice houses all around. Friendly staff. We came late in the night and were happy to discover this nice place, near a little lake in the morning. Quiet environment. Nice houses all around. Friendly staff. Competitive price (15$ full hookup).
Nous sommes arrivés dans la nuit et avons été contents de découvrir au matin ce bel endroit, sur les rives d’un petit étang. Environnement calme. De belles maisons alentour. Le monsieur qui gère l’endroit est très gentil. Prix très attractif (15$ en full hookup).

This was very nice. There were a lot of families by the lake, and the site and facilities seemed fine to us. Lots of shade trees. The only problem was a bunch of teenagers started a loud party about 10pm. We went to bed and the air conditioner drowned them out though.

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night parked under the pecan trees looking onto the lake. Even though a weekend the park was fairly quiet during the day with just mostly folks fishing. We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night parked under the pecan trees looking onto the lake. Even though a weekend the park was fairly quiet during the day with just mostly folks fishing. Overnight it was very quiet as the cars that passed by are going slow and after the early evening hardly anybody is around. We walked and cycled the area and quite enjoyed the stay. Thank you Town of Dexter.

Arrived about 6:30 pm on weekday. Several open spots. Self registration $15/night for full hook ups. Quiet peaceful. Small lake with ducks and geese. Beautiful area to walk. Playground for kids.

Arrived late afternoon on Friday with a 42 ft fifth wheel. Got the last site. David, the caretaker was very friendly and gracious. Nice little city park with a small lake. Some traffic noise at night, but nothing that bothered us. 5 of the 9 sites have 50 amp power. Definitely would stay again. FHU for $15/night.

This is truly a city park, as it is surrounded by a neighborhood. The camping for RVs is mostly on the west side, however we later found sites under pecan trees to the south - no hookups there. This little RV park is in a really nice location right next to a small lake with a large park area you can hang out in. The hookups were good for the most part. This little RV park is in a really nice location right next to a small lake with a large park area you can hang out in.
The hookups were good for the most part. Our campsite had the sewer in the back so it was a stretch to reach but most of the other sites weren't like that.
It says there's a 30 day camping limit with a 7 day rest period but it seemed like there were at least 5 RVers actually living there.
If you can get a spot it's an excellent place to spend a few days while traveling through New Mexico.

Gorgeous little park surrounding a small lake. You can camp in the camping area where there are some hook-ups ($15/night), but you can also park around the lake in various spots with no hook-ups for just $9/night. There are rest rooms in the registration building, but no showers. Very quiet.

You can choose full hookups or boondock. Lake van is very cool with lots of trees and wildlife. It's the cheapest place I've found and it's worth it. You can choose full hookups or boondock. Lake van is very cool with lots of trees and wildlife. It's the cheapest place I've found and it's worth it. The park gets kind of busy on weekends but during the week I pretty much have the park to myself. The caretakers are wonderful and helpful. Small town of Dexter has a Family Dollar, a local supermarket and some restaurants. 20 minutes south of Roswell. It's a gem.
