The only facility at this campground is a pit toilet, which was clean and well-maintained.
This is a dispersed camping area, with plenty of room. The views from the rim are spectacular and the hiking through Horseshoe Canyon is wonderful.

Great spot to camp near the Horseshoe Canyon trailhead. Four others there 9/21/20 with at least 100 feet apart. No shade but beautiful views of the canyon from the campsite. We entered from the west off hwy 24. About 35 miles of hard pack gravel. A few ruts and washboards but in great shape. Avg 25-30 mph. Saw a Prius make it fine. Good for small TT and class C.
Spots were clean. Vault toilet okay. Dry camping. Seven mile round trip hike to petroglyphs is amazing.
No Google Fi cell service.

My wife found some reference online to the pictoglyphs in the canyon. I found another review here and thought we could make the treck from Vegas. We don't get many extended weekends with work so we pulled this one over the new year weekend 2018. There were patches of snow everywhere which was ok by me but the wife gets cold. We picked a camp spot right at the trail head but off to the side with an amazing cliff view. We hiked the full length and found all the pictoglyphs while hiking through mild patches of snow and ice. If it wasn't so far from us, we'd be back pretty soon.

Dispersed camping, no water. Open area, no trees.
Close to numerous hiking adventures! The road south from Green River is easier to travel than the road east from Hwy 24 (near Goblin Valley).
Easy setup and plenty of space!
