What a great view! Campsite was a bit expensive, but we really enjoyed the location, how far apart the seven campsites were. There's also an unpermitted OHV path here. Close to the Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point. Easy to access. Quiet. Site #2 has good views and is away from the other campsites, but was a little windy. There's a pit toilet, but no water. We had pretty good cell service (AT&T) - decent connection, but it cut out occasionally.

Only has a lot toilet but it is clean and convenient.
You do hear the highway but it settles down considerably at night.

After hiking Dead Horse Point State Park, we were ready to find a spot to camp this mid-October night. Cowboy Camp fit the bill as it wasn't far off Hwy 313. The nightly fee was $10 in 2015 but has risen to $15 to match the other BLM sites in the Moab arein when we stayed again in October 2016. The open-air, roofless but still private pit toilet is a negative, but mostly because of the strong ell.
A strong thunder, lightning and rain storm plowed through that night and we were frankly relieved NOT to have been struck by lightning. We loved this wild open spot and will definitely return.
If you need larger spots, try Horsethief which is a few miles further and lower and is set up for large RVs.
