Reaching the split to Hoosier Creek Dispersed is an easy drive on a well maintained 2 lane gravel road. This leads into a beautiful creek valley far away from the noise of the highway.
Once you reach the fork keep to the left and hang on to your axel. FR 811(the right fork) leads onto private property and has no camping, so remain on 58 and cross the creek. The road is very rough past this point. This can be done in a car but you will have to go slow.
The area is now designated dispersed only, sites are distinguished with a sign.
Continue up the hill and the first site is down in the valley on the left. It's quite a hill to reach it so it is not for the faint of heart. It is doable as it was occupied by an Airstream basecamp during my visit. This first area is large and can hold multiple rigs and allow for turn around. It is close to the creek so be aware of any possible flooding. This site had 1 bar of Verizon 4G occasionally.
The road does become worse as you climb the road. The sites along the way are all large and the limitations will be the rigs clearance. We did not need 4x4 but did have several large rocks in the way. Past the second site the area was mostly occupied by Sprinter Van's.
Other than the first site there was no Verizon coverage.
