The entrance was very rutted and the section next to the highway had a huge hole, beware.
Sites are close together with little privacy between them and not level. Parking for each site would make a trailer and tow vehicle a tight fit. Turns within the campground exclude all but smaller trailers.
Each site was well maintained and contained a fire ring and picnic table. There was a single trash dumpster and the bathrooms were very clean (pit toilets).
We received no Verizon coverage in the area. Road noise was heard from the highway.

“North side is great, south less so”

We stayed here a few years ago- the north side was beautiful and very pleasant, right on the Colorado Trail. on the south side fo the road, there's more camping but it is a little more open and had a lot more dirt bikes/ATVs/etc. Would definitely stay again.
wrpCO would stay here again

“Beautiful near Colorado trail”

Lots of trees. Close to Colorado trail. We stayed with a 26ft travel trailer. I would stay again. Lots of thru hikers on the CO trail. Usually open on weekdays. Dispersed free camping in the east side. Make sure you scout it out to make sure your trailer fits. Overall a great area. Fall is crazy busy.
