Super glad to have arrived here in the daylight. Really sad to see just how disgusting and trashed this place was. But not entirely surprised since the beautiful backroads leading up to it are lined with garbage. Definitely some long term “campers” in here and entire sites were covered in trash, empty cans and bottles. Without even an outhouse, I don’t want to venture a guess what we would’ve set up our tent on... Such a beautiful area and an absolute heartbreak of ruination.

It was quite till 5:30 am when someone started a truck and let it idle for 15 minutes while loading some things. Two different dogs barking until the truck left.
Once daylight arrived I could tell that the tents and pop up camper were pretty much permanent residents. Ground all around where I parked was covered in dog shit.
Could be a nice spot for Boondocking, but careful where you step.

This place isn’t the place to boondock UNLESS your in a tent. If you have an rv just drive around the dirt roads around here and you’ll find great spots all alone. It’s safe here. It’s quiet. Close to town. Awesome place to call home base while we check out surrounding areas near Charleston. Roads are some of the best dirt roads we’ve seen. Click this spot then open up your maps and satellite view and look for spots off the road. Way better then this spot.

We stayed here to tent camp for the night, it was very easy to find along the road which had a sign right by the entrance. It was kinda crowded with 4 other groups being there so there wasn't much space between the tents as I would have liked.
