After a long bumpy dirt road, we finally gave up just before the site due to an impassable mud hole spanning the road.

“Used to be a great campsite... ”

I have camped at this location about a dozen times over the last two years, however after my last experience there I will not be going back.
There are three decent camp sites, however the best site that had a great fire pit and nice stumps to sit on (I believe it’s the first picture you see on here) has been occupied by the same trashy tent and people for over two months. The people occupying the site have had run-ins wth locals and were caught trying to steal items out of their truck. They were aggressive and I would not recommend staying here if you see their tan tent or a red blazer still there.
There is also a massive amount of trash spread out between the sites and a lot of out of control growth. We stayed by the water a few weeks ago and saw multiple snakes and even had a gator slide up on the shore about 15 feet from our tents...
I feel like I should also mention the roads to get to the campsite are very rough but it was once a really great quiet place to relax for the weekend. Cell service was poor, Verizon and at&t were able to stream audio and receive calls. Sprint had absolutely no service, even in town was terrible.
