These sites are on the south end of the La Sal Loop Road. This road has a steep incline and a 15mph turn prior to this site. There is no posted length limit or grade on this road. It is paved without a center line. There are no guardrails.
If you are able to brave the beginning of La Sal Loop Road to reach this site you will be rewarded with expansive views of the Moab valley and La Sal Mountain range. This road is above the winter snow line.
Geyser Pass road was recently graded to the Geyser Pass Winter Trailhead. This is a dirt base road so it can become a bit muddy with snow melt. It is a two car wide road.
There are multiple sites along this road as it climbs towards Mount Tukuhnikivatz and Haystack Mountain, with about 11 before the winter trailhead. The lower sites are more exposed with sunny views and the higher with better cellular coverage. Both AT&T and Verizon coverage varied along the route, with zero coverage at the road split from the loop.
The road also has multiple trailheads along its length, including one short hike to an arch.
All in all a wonderful place to camp.
