Overall Rating

This site is on the south end of the La Sal Loop Road. This road has a steep incline and a 15mph turn prior to this site. There is no posted length limit or grade on this road. It is paved without a center line. There are no guardrails.

If you are able to brave the beginning of La Sal Loop Road to reach this site you will be rewarded with expansive views of the Moab valley and La Sal Mountain range.

The road overlooking Dorry Canyon can be easy to miss, go slow and take your time. There is a small flatish area directly off La Sal Loop Road and then FR 0068 turns sharply to the left and down. This initial section can be quite muddy during snowmelt so be sure to check before entering.

There is a small back-in site prior to the cattle guard. This will fit a small teardrop or van and is sunny. Past this site you enter a burn area, which is signed to enter at your own risk. There are a few sites past the cattle guard, however the road requires 4X4.

We had no cell coverage in the area.
