Open field with scattered multiple hookups. Little shade. Long hike to bathrooms and showers. Showers are stalls with plastic curtains and a chair. Some have hooks, others have none.

Every hundred feet or so was a pedestal with about a dozen 30 amp electric. Water was the sprinkler system which sometimes had fittings for about 5 water hookups. I talked to the camp host and she said for Mule Days and the summer they provide more water HUs. Otherwise you just drive around until you find something your cord and hose can both reach. Field was very quiet and pleasant, sun felt good in the morning. Often very windy. On Saturday eve there was a quinceañera at the fairgrounds which went on until after 11:30. Obviously, there are no enforced quiet hours, so be aware.

Bishop RV park is part of the fairgrounds, offering both W/E sites (which are more easily accessible and generously spaced in an open field) and FHU, which is more typical of a standard commercial CG. We stayed in the FHU area, which has plenty of room for larger RVs but could require some maneuvering to park depending on how full the area is and how everyone has situated themselves. Our site was big enough and level with easy to reach utilities that worked well during our stay. Their WiFi worked exceptionally well, as did Verizon without our booster, and there is plenty of room for walking a dog. There is a camp host on site (she kindly texted me WiFi and bathhouse info on our arrival), and we enjoyed peace and quiet our entire stay.
This park is walk-able distance to most of downtown Bishop and convenient to just about everything in and around town. We paid the weekly rate of $180, and if in the area, we would definitely stay here again

This is also named Bishop RV Park but it is owned by the tri-county, located in Bishop and walking distance to Vonn's. Look for the signs to actually locate the entrance which is in a residential neighborhood and not off HWY 395. The entrance is on Sierra Street. Nice large, clean bathrooms with good hot water. Easy check in with camp host after hours or in the office during business hours. All the personnel were friendly and helpful. Dirt everywhere so it would be muddy during rain or snow. Sites were very close together but OK for a short stay. Good 50 amp service etc. All back in sites but we had lots of room to maneuver our 35' FW. Some full-timers who are workers at the fairgrounds. A quiet RV park. WiFi was excellent.

This is also called Bishop RV Park, if you're looking it up on the internet. We stayed for a week to fish local area. Did satellite shot of area and saw that one area is crammed with campers, and another large field had some hookups-- we asked for the field, as it looked more roomy, but it has power hook ups, no water or sewage (but same pricing). We prefer the space so we signed up for the field. We arrived at night and didnt see any markings on any of the poles for our spot #7, so we just picked one in the middle of the field. Listing said we'd have 50 amps but the pole only had 30 amp plugs. There's no tables, no fire pit, just the power pole. We checked all the other poles in the field, looks like they were 30amp plugs. We stayed the week, very quiet, and far enough from 395 that there was no traffic noise, and no nearby lights (which we liked) to do some stargazing. We never saw the camp host, so we assumed the spot we were in was ok. We'd stay again as it was close to everything in town, and quiet.

The full hooks was 90% full and you are side by side. We chose electric only with decent space between rigs. The grassy area with good views of the mountains was 10% full. Nice, quite, and we felt safe staying here. Starbucks down the street. We would stay here again for a over night stop traveling between destinations.

If you want to be close to town, the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop has a lot going for it. The camping area is essentially a large gravel parking lot with full hookups and 50-amp service. The bathroom and showers are spacious and exceptionally clean. The sites do not have picnic tables or fire rings. What you do have is access to the fairgrounds with lovely green grass and huge shade trees. There is a HUGE field next to parking lot where doggies can run, but the fairground lawn areas were much nicer and had shade. We also made use of a horse washing rack to give our mastiff a bath (we passed on the hog washing rack, Lol).
The fair ground staff were very pleasant and helpful and dog-friendly. Yes, there are some long-term residents but nothing trashy or sketchy and we felt perfectly safe. My only complaint was that some of the long-term residents did not pick up after their dogs and the fence-line and other areas were well mined. I really wish the staff would hold them accountable or make doggy pile pickup part of the maintenance schedule.
Another plus was being on site for fairground events. We were lucky enough to be there for the Taste of the Sierras and the Choo-Choo Swap Meet. Had a great time at both! We wanted to explore the town of Bishop and you can walk the entire town from the Fairgrounds. A few of our favorites: Great Basin Bakery (far superior to Schatz), Mountain Rambler Brewery (excellent beer and food), Holy Smoke BBQ (Tri-tip and Mac & Cheese to die for), the bookstores, and the very nice city parks (dog park and people park).
You are also ideally located for day trips to all of Owens Valley – everything from Mammoth to Lone Pine.
At $35 a night, it seemed a little pricey – but we paid for six nights and got the seventh free which dropped our rate to $30 a night. The Sierras are beautiful and seem close enough to touch. One of our favorite things was the blazing fast wifi. Yessssssssssssss! I typically hit up Starbucks for their wifi, and there is one nearby, but I never needed it. Huge props for wifi that actually works!
We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G

Pros:
-Courteous, professional staff
-Good weekly rates
-Full hookups + bathrooms
-Can go walking around the fairgrounds when events aren't going on, making for a nice place to get exercise
-In easy walking distance of several Bishop attractions and shops, and super close to groceries
-Sites are wide and level
-Tucked away and private park -- not many people just wandering in -- plus this keeps the wind pretty minimal
Cons:
-Hard to find the entrance if you don't ask (it's off Sierra Street -- don't go in the Mule Days entrance)
-Some long-term campers can be a little questionable; just stay vigilant
-Little to no shade, so it can probably get hot in the summer (we were there in March)
