We planned on boondocking in the area, but the temperatures were going to get very cold at night so we decided to stay here to take advantage of the full hook-ups. I have always wanted to camp at a fairground and this one did not disappoint. The sites are relatively close together and they are level. The hookups are well laid out and look to be pretty modern. The real draw here is the walkability to the main street in Bishop and the relatively low nightly rate. The nightly rate is normally $25 with the 7th night free. It's also an easy drive to some pretty incredible hiking.
The only negative would be some of the noise and if there is an event going on in the weekend the place can get pretty busy. A High School rodeo happened when we stayed here and it kind of added to the fun of staying.
PROS:
Walkable to Bishop
Level Sites
Low-price for full hookups
Huge dog friendly off-leash area (un-official off leash)
Easy to get in and out.
Clean facilities
CONS:
Can get loud
Don't get some of the incredible mountain views
Wi-fi was not working
Wandertopia Todd would stay here again

What a cool find! This place is really nothing more than a big gravel parking lot, but it offers you inexpensive full-hookups in a great location to explore Bishop.
The sites here are not much to talk about. They are aligned in one big row (side by side) on a large, gravel lot. There's really nothing except a line of full hookups (no picnic table, no separation or privacy), but it's comfortable, quiet and you get decent views of the mountains on both sides. Plus the fact that the RV's are in a single line (rather than in multiple rows) means you get open space out your front window instead of facing another rig. It really does improve the feel of the place.
Where the place shines is in everything else. The showers are really large, clean and warm, there's a large open field next-door (to walk doggie) and you are within walking distance of everything in downtown Bishop -> restaurants, brewery, coffee shops etc. Plus it's set far enough back from 395 that it feels quiet and relaxed. We absolutely loved the location, felt nicely relaxed in camp and will certainly come back again whenever we need hookups in this area.
P.S. Nightly rate is $25, but you get an extra free night if you pay for 6 days on-site. No WiFi, but apparently they're working on it.
WheelingIt would stay here again
