Great Overnight Spot. A bit windy but it finally died down. Very quiet morning. The access paved road had potholes slow going there.

Easy access for our low clearence vehicle, nice sunset view on the mountains. We got lucky withblittle to no wind and stayed warm in a tent pitched next to the car. My partner's only complaint was that you can hear the highway. Perfect stop over spot.

360 views of the plains and mountains, and beautiful sunrises. Cows and Antelope roaming around. There is some highway noise, but it is hardly noticeable. The only traffic I saw was a few ranch trucks coming and going.
The wind is no joke- during my 3 days it reached over 50 mph gusts.
I would stay again here again if in a bind. Okay for a night or two.

It appears the camping area starts immediately after crossing the cattle guard and continues on for one half mile to the top of the hill. The post next to it says camping okay. I would not do this in the dark.

We had a cop pull up on us in the middle of the night but didn't disturb us. Might have just been checking on us since the wind can get bad in this area. Beautiful sunrise to wake up to, though. No other campers, would stay again if in a pinch.

I camped at this location (approximate) 37.719300, -104.817305. There is a turnout there which does not show on Google maps. The south side of the road is fenced off. I did not drive beyond my campsite so don't know if there are other turnouts there. The Northside of the road from the cattle gate to my campsite is relatively level and a person could just pull off 10-20 feet off and camp.
The camping area is about 2 miles from the Interstate exit.It was very quiet and not once did anyone drive by. I was using my Starlink so I don't know what the cell phone signal is like.
