Regular sites look great. Bathrooms clean and hot showers. Overflow was done without using any of the space they have. Especially during COVID times should make it less dense. Be careful temperature wise it gets much cooler here than city.

Nice hiking equestrian and biking trails. Very clean and tidy campsites. Experience was excellent considering it's still Covid. Sad to see the burn areas but the desert will come back nicely. The sites are nicely located and spaced.

We were amazed that a campground so close to an urban area could feel so remote. There is little to suggest the nearby city, the Santa Catalina mountains are a backdrop, and there is extensive biking and hiking without even leaving the campground. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. The only problem is that it is difficult to get a reservation during the winter season as the campground is so popular.

Staff/Volunteers are all very nice. Campground is nice. The roads and sites are paved in both A & B loops. Plenty of space for our 37 foot class A motorhome and CRV. Electric and water at the site. A dump station was located at the entrance of the B loop. 2 additional dumps located near the main entrance. Grill & picnic table at site. Great Verizon signal. Able to make phone calls, text and stream videos. Able to watch all major TV networks with over the air antenna. Close to bike path and hiking trails. Would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been at this place, off and on, for a couple months now. It’s booked solid during the winter months but there are frequent cancellations — once you get the rhythm of it you can usually find a spot. I have two other campgrounds in my “staying near Tucson” rotation and it works out.
Both A and B campgrounds are nice but I prefer the Bs overall. The showers are much nicer, but they are vented to the outdoors so if it’s a cold day, your best bet is the A showers or using your own rig.
Good mix of weekenders and full-timers. Lots of wildlife. Beautiful mountains, and I love the trail that takes you past the Hohokum village.
Catalina Laundry is north along Oracle. Propane easiest from the Tractor Supply Co (north) or the gas station (south).
Take packrat precautions with your vehicle!! They’re everywhere!
Enjoy this beautiful park.

Perhaps the best part about this park are the enormous hiking options here. Many to choose from as well as other fantastic hiking at Sabino Canyon, a nice day trip on the other side of town.
Absolutely plenty to do and see in and around Tucson. A great place to spend an extended camping trip.
