The park certainly has minimal amenities, though does have full hook up sites, 30 and 50amp, a shower, laundry room, TV room with DVDs and books to borrow. A lot of full time folks here, but everyone is lovely and quiet! The rates are super reasonable, and it's close to everything! A laundromat, ice cream shop, Mexican grocery store, hardware store, all right next door! And just a 30-40 min drive to downtown Tucson! Would happily stay again!

The woman that checked us in was very nice, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. Many of the people staying here seem to be full time and work around the area. There are many broken down RVs, junk cars and other junk piled about. Much of the park seemed to be reserved for RV storage.

We made a lot of friends while we were there. We are definitely going back to the Wishing Well when we are headed west again.

The park is old and run down and at $35 a night is overpriced.
The manager is very nice and there is a small community of full timers.
Sites are dirt and mostly level. We are 35’ long and we’re about 4’ from being too long. There are some longer sites.
We didn’t use the facilities and chose to use a laundromat that’s about 200 yards away instead.
I think they have WiFi but we used our hotspot and it worked fine.
Ok, not our best rv park but we’ve had worse. The is road noise but we chose a spot by the front because of site quality.
We won’t be going back but if you need a place it will work.

I always say that I'm in a "postcard" because it's so very picturesque. Wendy & Denise go out of their way to make everyone's stay a pleasurable experience. I stay here about 3 times a year and I've attended a couple of their potluck events. I enjoy visiting with their guests and trading highway stories.

Lots of trash, run down/broke down campers, motorhomes and vehicles. Right on a busy highway.
Sadly this is the only option with full hookups on this end of town. I'd stay in the Catalina State Park or search on Craigslist for an RV space rental instead.

In rebuttal to the only review on this site for the Wishing Well RV Park, I'd like to say that yes, this is an older park having begun in the 1950's as a mobile home park. The current owners took possession in the mid 80's and turned her into an RV Park. We are the only official RV Park in the Catalina, AZ. area. We are sorry that the only person that has written a review only drove through and never stayed one night! They never got to meet the managers or speak with one of our residents or guests. Trust me, there is a reason that this park thrives year in and year out, in and out of economic recessions. People who actually stay here find out there is more to this little park than just sand and gravel.
Most of the people who come here and stay here as residents are friendly outgoing folks who enjoy life and enjoy the peace and quiet of this little park. Though it is true that we don't have a lot of resort amenities and activities, we do have a nice family type atmosphere. During the busy months, we kick off the snowbird season with a Thanksgiving Potluck with a huge turkey cooked on the managers grill and lots of great food provided by the residents and guests. It's a huge feast and everyone enjoys the food and fellowship. We do pizza parties and potlucks any time our guests want one. We have game day usually on Sundays and a Super Bowl Sunday game day potluck. We have great mountain views and the sunrises and sunsets from the confines of the park are outstanding!
We have a small but adequate comfy community center with a 50 inch flat screen TV and Dish Network Satellite service. We have two bathrooms one with a large shower. We have a central AC/heat system recently put in by the owners. We have an on site laundry with two washers and a dryer and drying lines out front! Dollar wash and dollar dry! Cheapest of anywhere we know of. We have a free book exchange and a free video library too. What more from a small park can be expected.
Oh, and by the way, our location in the foothills of the Catalina Mountain range in the town of Catalina, AZ. off of State Highway 77 with many fine restaurants within walking distance, a major grocery chain a mile south of us, a Super WalMart within five miles and a major medical facility also within five miles is another big reason folks want to stay here!
The owners recently upgraded the electric with new posts and electric boxes at every space and have plans of putting in more 50 amp service in the coming months. They also plan on gravelling the driveways with special gravel that packs down like concrete and has very pleasing aesthetics. And looks nice too. LOL! So please don't pay attention to one sour review from someone who only drove through and come take a look and spend at least one night at the Wishing Well RV Park yourself! Don't hide inside your RV but come out meet your neighbors and then write a review if you have a mind to. GOD Bless you all!
Denise would stay here again
