Enjoyed this very much. Nice level hard surface and not too tight with neighbors. Thoroughly enjoyed walking the beach from our site. The only down side was no service.

We stayed in full hu site #5 (we got lucky!) for two nights and wished we could have extended. The area has so much to explore - 2 light houses, numerous WW1 & WW2 batteries and old fortresses, tons of walking/hiking trails AND dogs are allowed on leashes to everything! But the BEACHES! OMG, being a huge fan of the ocean this was so much a ++++; Sites 1-10 are steps from a beautiful beach where you can walk for several miles. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is up by the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse, don’t miss either of those - the views alone are work the walk. Dead Man’s Cove is another must but that is a very steep and tricky descend and climb back up. Beautiful location, nice people and we enjoyed the last concert in the park for the summer. We will definitely come back.
No cell service or internet! You can pick up a slight signal near the store and Ranger station but it is not dependable and it’s very intermittent! Be prepared to go off the grid for the time you are there.
We were in a 38’ Super C with TOAD and the road in was a bit bumpy and had a lot of turns, be prepared to take it slow. Once inside the campground the roads are all paved to the campsites. Sites easily accommodate big rigs.

Great for everyone. Paths galore. Kids be careful.
They need signs that say slow, watch for children.
The store is independently run. The gentleman owner is very informative.
The beach is wonderful.
The shower and toilets next to the main parking lot were filthy even though it was supposedly cleaned earlier. If that's true, fire them and hire new
I used my own bath mat to stand on. The shower was amazing. Buy a yearly pass and you can enjoy nice showers all over the state.

Once we got near Ilwaco, we followed the state park signs to the campground (CG). Check-in was quick, but the camp host checking us in noted we were an hour early, so our campsite may not be cleaned and someone could be in the site. When we got to back-in site A57 with FHUs, there was no one there, and the campsite had been cleaned. As the loops at this state park are in a circle, the sites are easy to line up for a straight back in. Our asphalt site was level with the water and electric in the middle of the pad and the sewer at the back. We needed about 20 feet of sewer hose. The sites are decently spaced and for the most part, shaded by mature trees. We were able to get a usable Starlink north shot out of the back of the site. Satellite could be iffy depending on the site. Sites towards the front of the loop probably have the best chance for satellite as they are near the road. Water pressure was good at about 55 psi. We sometimes got 1 bar on Verizon, but to make a phone call, we had to drive to Ilwaco. We noticed that camping at the beach for Thanksgiving is a “thing” in this area, as the CG was full. There were deer milling around the CG and they did not seem concerned that we were there. We enjoyed walking our pups on the dog-friendly beach. The lighthouses were enjoyable as well, especially the views. A few amenities are nearby in Long Beach, but for the most part, you’ll need to drive about 30 minutes into Astoria/Warrenton, OR. A walk along Long Beach’s boardwalk was worthwhile, especially the whale display with an actual whale skeleton.

There is no cell signal at all here even with our Insty on the roof. Both Verizon and T-Mobile had zero connectivity, not even SOS. We had to drive to Ilwaco for cell service, or go on the beach about 1/4 mile south of Loop A trail sign for a small patch of signal on the beach.
Check-in was a bit frustrating in that it looks like you should pull up to the window at the ranger station entrance, but you should not. Upon pulling up to the window there is a small sign posted saying to park and come inside to register. Of course, most of the RV friendly parking is BEFORE the window. It would have been MUCH better to have a cone or some indication that the window was closed BEFORE entering the area! While the camp hosts at check-in were friendly enough, directions to our site upon check-in were not very clear, and they only give you a campground map if you ask for one.
Signage inside the park was pretty terrible. Critical directional signs were small and often oriented in the wrong direction, or placed so that they were easily missed. The park is set up for people who have been here before and already know the important information.
If dry-camping, fresh potable water is available at the dump station just past the ranger check-in kiosk. This is not well-marked, and you must be on the lookout for the Dump Station. You will have to drive through one of the dump sites to reach the potable water. There is also fresh water available in the loops, but the spigots are not threaded for hoses, and are too large for a water bandit connection.
The non-utility sites in Area B were spacious and had easy access to the beach. The sites were level and easy to navigate into. There is so much to do in the park and in both Long Beach and Astoria, we could have easily filled 2 weeks here, and wish we had reserved a longer stay.

There are showers, although not fantastic. Every site had picnic table and fire pit. There is a little store just a few yards from it. There is a dump station within the park. I had enough phone and WiFi signal. For $32, I thought it was a very good deal!

Worst campground ever. There are two campgrounds. The one by the beach seems nice. The campground by the Park headquarters is a field that is a free for all. Completely disgraceful. Washington parks should be ashamed of themselves
