My family really enjoyed this place. The full timers that are up near the front flat area were friendly. The campground area with hook ups under the trees was beautiful. This time a year they have the back section closed down. We were in a tight spot that was a typical RV campground. We walked the back section and if it was open, it is nice with open sites.

When we made the reservation, we were asked where we wanted to stay. We chose the wooded area as it sounded cozier. It is true that the wooded area is a more desirable location but the hilly conditions bit us this time. We were given spot B-70. It was not a back-in spot, which is OK. However, when I backed in the spot had such a downslope there was no way that I could lower the trailer far enough to make it work. I didn't want to build up the axles higher to let the tongue go lower as it would make it easier for the trailer to roll off the blocks (this has happened to us before). I tried a couple of different solutions and settled on parking up on the hill next to us which is where we were supposed to use our table. In the length of the site, it must have declined at least 3-4 feet! The two attached photos show where we should have been able to park (where the truck is parked) and where we did end up parking.
Later the same night, I was outside and heard a rather loud explicative from a fellow camper across the street. Shortly after that, I noticed water coming out of a green pipe in the ground. The camper had run over a buried valve and broke the water pipe. This shut off the water to the park for the evening. To the camp's credit, it was fixed the next day.
If you stay here, the wooded area is nice in the upper loops but the back in spots along the row we were in are not very good.
WiFi in our section is non-existent. You have to be close to the office. AT&T speed was fantastic! Verizon was lacking.

After having spent 12 nights at the Thousand Trails campground in SeaView this place felt fantastic, we actually had a decent sized space with privacy.
Note: The driveway going up to this campground goes up a VERY steep hill. Once up top there is a big opening with sites in a wide open area and the office. We stayed in 2015 and at that time the pool and some of the public areas were pretty dumpy, it didn't affect us as we were not using them but if that matters to you then you may want to find out if they have been updated.
We stayed in Phase 2 which is back in the woods. The sites back there are nicely spaced, lots of trees, and very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our site.
Phase 3 is only open seasonly and was closed at the time, though we walked back there and that appears to be mostly tent camping and dry camping...though there were some very nice sites back there as well.
When we stayed they accepted RPI (we just didn't have that at the time) so if you have an accepted membership it would be a great value to stay there.
Only about a 20 - 30 minute drive to Astoria, OR.
[Actual stay was 6/6/15]

I feel the photos lie. There is no beach access. The sites are very close. No room. All 8 kids just played in the road all day. Next time we will camp for free in Ocean Park. There is more room and beach access.
