Some sites are wider, but usually occupied by seasonals. Campground is quiet with the big attraction remaining the beach. Friendly staff seemed to be paying attention to the facilities, maintaining the gravel roads and trails. We didn't use the other facilities. Verizon service was spotty without the Weboost, but adequate for streaming with the Weboost on.

“Close To Beach, Small Sites But Clean”

Probably the closest sites to one another we have ever seen. Thousand Trails; does not allow to reserve a specific site. Clean and a good amount of trees and sun. Not too far from the beach and the town of Long Beach.

We were late in booking a campground in the Astoria area, which led us to book a spot here even though we aren’t Thousand Trails members. Making an online reservation guarantees you a spot (and gives you the gate code), but you pick your own site when you arrive, so we made sure we arrived right at the noon check-in time to maximize our options. Even though we did that and arrived on a Thursday, there were only a few options, but we still found a spot close to the dog park and the trails to the beach.
All of the sites are 90-degree back-in sites, and many of them are back-to-back sites, so if you happen to find a row where both spots are empty you could pull through into a spot (I wouldn’t count on being that lucky, though). The interior roads are gravel, and the site pad in our site was a mix of gravel and grass, so we took some care to keep the tires on the gravel as we backed in. Water and sewer hookups are clustered together in the corner between each 4 sites, so if you are in an odd-numbered spot like we were you have to run your water and sewer lines under the camper to the other side. The power poles are actually shared between sites: because the 50amp plug was already in use by our neighbor, we had to settle for using the 30amp plug (which was fine, as it never got hot enough to run even one A/C, let alone two). The sites are very close together, giving you just enough room to make use of the provided picnic table, but not much more than that. Some sites have shade trees, but most do not. In addition to the RV sites with hookups, there are a number of cabins in the middle of the campground, tent campsites along the edges of the campground, a few yurts, and an RV overflow area.
Most of the amenities are located around the front (east) end of the park. The office, hobby room, swimming pool, and laundry room with bathroom and shower facilities are all located near the entrance. The playground, volleyball court, and basketball hoop are located in the southeast quadrant of the park, and there is a bathhouse with showers in that same area. The one huge dumpster (which gets closed late in the evenings) is on the north end of the park. The enclosed dog park is on the west end of the park, next to another bathhouse with showers and a fish cleaning shack. There were plenty of other places to walk the dogs when the dog park was busy.
The campground is surrounded by woods on all sides except the east side, so you cannot see the ocean, but you can hear it. There are two trails that lead from the campground to the ocean: the trails join up before crossing over the paved Discovery Trail (which is an excellent biking trail), so the walking distance for both is about the same (just under 1/3 of a mile). The joint trail ends at Long Beach, a 28-mile long undeveloped sand beach.
Access to this beach is undoubtedly the best reason to stay at this campground. The biggest negative of the campground, besides the crowded site layout, is the mosquitos we dealt with during our stay. They were particular bad when there was no breeze.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 14Mbps down and 9 up, but the network would frequently become congested enough during the evenings that would be useless for streaming and even web browsing. The bandwidth from AT&T I got on my phone was consistently good, and I saw speeds of 114Mbps down and 9 up. The campground offers WiFi for a fee: my wife ended up paying the fee and had no issues using it for browsing and watching short videos, though I will note that we were right next to one of the repeaters.
This would not be our first choice if we ever need a campground in this area again, but we would stay here again.

The sewer hook ups are at the back of the back in space and if you have an odd space number the sewer is on the passenger side. No long hose extension then no luck. We didn’t even try. Way to far!!!. We had to end up using the dump station, which too is quiet a bit a disappointment. Who puts the dump connection at a 45 degree angle?

I know this because each site(s) shares power. One 30 and one 50 amp, even number sites supposed to get 50 and odd site gets 30. That said it seemed to be first come first choose. With the weather here most of the time you won't need more than 30 amp anyway.
Occupants were very nice. We were warned about theft however so lock your stuff up.
The good part is bring a bike because there are miles of a paved bike route both directions along the beach and to a light house. Access was very easy with our long rig of 36 ft + a toad. Cannot see the ocean from this park. A short walk gives you a nice view of Long Beach which goes for miles. Would recommend a wagon to carry your cooler/stuff.
Weather was overcast and locals said that is the norm so bring a sweater.
No fire pits at your RV site but all tent sites have them??? There is a community fire pit however if you don't mind others.
Bottom line is that we would stay here again but will be looking for better park along this beach.

The site is perfectly located with easy access to the beach (via short trail), as well as Cape Disappointment area, Long Beach town, and Astoria. The sites are tightly spaced, but because it was so early in the season there was not that many people there so we were just fine (with no one on our left nor right). The sites (the ones closest to the beach trail) were muddy due to recent heavy rains. Our site was fine with grassy spot right in front of our campers door. Generally, there was lots of dry sites to pick from. We did not use the bathrooms facilities, but used the laundry room ($1.50 + 1.75 for dryer or the other way around), and kids hanged out at the playground. We had fire at the camp site one night (you need to rent a fire ring or bring your own), fire at the beach the other night. Staff was nice and helpful, and provided a lot of good tips to make our stay fun. Overall, this was a wonderful weekend.

As mentioned in other reviews layout is weird. Odd sites have water/sewer on wrong side of RV and half of sites have electric on wrong side (it’s by row). Camp is basically an RV parking lot with some trees. Sites are ~20’ wide and it gets tighter because some RVs may be parked in center of site or head in to reach facilities. We had 1’ from our awning to neighbor’s slide out. Not a lot of fire smoke because most sights do not have fire rings (camp has a limited number of above ground pits they will drop off if requested). 1 Of 3 bathrooms and the dump station where closed on our visit due to sewer problem. AT&T Was usable, LTE 20Mbps down, 0.01Mbps up (typical for coast).

About a ten minute walk to the quiet beach. When I stayed here the weather was cool and many days were a bit windy due to the beach close by. The ocean can be heard when it's quiet at night especially.
Camp Disappointment State Park was only a few miles away and worth the visit. Along with the two lighthouses nearby.
Sites were tight and had an unusual set up with utilities. Try to get an even site if you can as the sewer will be on the right side of your RV. Restrooms and showers were older but maintained and the laundry room was clean and in good order. The pool was just opened and look good, but the jacuzzi was not open.
