DO NOT pull a trailer up to this campground. 10 miles north of Lake City, Co. Left on FR 868 which is very narrow with some pull outs for meeting other vehicles. You will switchback your way up for the first 4 or 5 miles. There are a couple of very sharp turns but doable. Do not try to pull any trailers up this road. It is a small secluded campground with a pit toilet. this is a great tent camping campground. Big Blue stream is a high mountain stream with a lot of small native brook trout. At about 9800' the trout have a short growing season. Great for hikers. You can also enter from highway 50 with some of this route thru private property with gates (not my favorite way in). I have never camped here when there were more than 1 other camper. This is one of my favorites. No cell service but who cares.
