“Verizon A Bit Iffy; Otherwise Great”
Reviewed 4/15/2024
As reported, the road is still rocky! The sites are level and very well-spaced. The Verizon, though, was a bit iffy. Would not recommend relying on it for work or school. OK for streaming if you do not mind some buffering.

Wonderful views and easy access (after a mile+ walk) to the Oregon Mountains. The aforementioned side road is pretty bumpy with good sized rocks, but easily manageable in our F250. Had to clean up our site a little and a lot of broken glass around. Busy location, but hey....it's a beautiful area! Would definitely come back.

The Organ Mountains are beautiful and the nearby hiking is wonderful. This place stayed busy and was full most of the time we were here. There is a bit of road noise, but it wasn't bothersome. We had great solar and Starlink. I would definitely stay here again.
We went down to look at the Sierra Vista Trailhead dispersed area and didn't like it. I personally would not camp there as there is lots of traffic, too close together and sites are mostly small.

Not a very big disperse camping area but the spaces they do have are nice and flat and not too close together. Beautiful views. No trash very quiet highly recommend.

Great location with amazing views of the Organ Mountains. Rocky bumpy road may be challenge for big rigs. Water available at entrance to Aguirre Spring Campground. Need 30’ hose.

Pulled in my 13 foot T@b trailer and the road was rough but passable, only about 10 spots and they are very spread out. Came on a Saturday night and only two other vehicles besides ours.

This place kind of summarizes what boondocking is all about, quiet, in nature, fabulous views, stunning sunsets and free. Few cars go by on Baylor Canyon Rd.

I’m not sure how we did it but we barely made it through this road with our 31 ft airstream. The lovely gentleman at the entrance to the road said the first pretty decent dip was the hardest one and that it wasn’t that crowded. It was really crowded..every single spot was taken which would just be your luck of the draw but the road was pretty tight next to the fencing and there were huge rocks at some points of the road. I wouldn’t recommend taking a low clearance or long trailer in there. Like I said we barely made it through…pretty sure God was lifting us over the boulders! Good luck…it’s a beautiful spot but we were so anxious and frustrated when we drove through!

Scouted 1/16/2024. The road is in bad shape but passable for 2WD vehicles. Not suitable for trailers of any significant size due to big dips/rocks.
