Pulled in around 10:30pm and the trailhead parking was large, flat and empty. A little road noise from Dripping Springs but not terrible. Arrived just at dusk. Nice flat area in this trailhead parking lot. Not too noisy despite being next to the road. No problems.

This is basically a trailhead parking lot. We were the only ones to camp here but another couple stayed the night before we arrived. Not sure if camping is allowed. After that first night we went to another place about 4 miles down the road. Site is spotless. Not a good place for trailers over 20ft. Hard to turn around if full.

I second that. I stopped here for the hiking trail around the mountain, but ended up staying a few days. I’m not sure it’s meant to be an overnight spot but I had no issues. Plus it’s still part of the BLM area so you should be good. Noise from the street is probably the only real downfall, but it’s not horrible.

Great staging area to wait for one of the other dispersed sites near the Organ Mountains to open up. Large pull off near the trailhead entrance. A large rig or several smaller could park.
Some road noise from Dripping Springs Road
Trailhead has a picnic area and trash.
