This park is located within walking distance to just about everything you might want to do in town. Check in was easy, very friendly at the front desk.
The park itself is clean and they really do clean sites after guests leave. Laundry was clean, did not use the bathrooms.
Sites are level and with the exception of the pull-thru sites in the middle, are pretty spacious.
My only caution is that the pull-thru sites and some of the tent/van sites sit on a town road. The traffic isn’t constant, but people drive through fast which can be worrisome if you’ve got children or pets running around. It would be good to have some additional signage to get people to slow down as they pass through the RV park.
Would stay again, and avoid the sites on the road.

As others have mentioned, the spots are close but seemed to be pretty on par with other city campgrounds I've stayed at. I will say that the bigger rigs were closer than us little guys. If you're using this as a basecamp for your exploring you should be fine. The woman at the front was extremely nice and helpful, bathrooms/showers were really clean. I was able to work with my Verizon hotspot using my booster. Couldn't get on to the campground wifi.

We stayed for 3 nights in sight 2R which is on the creek but is so cramped we couldn’t really enjoy it. Even though the scenery is beautiful, at $56/night, I expected more from the campground. There is no room to set out chairs near the creek or next to the camper if we want room to walk. Our sewer hookup was only a couple of feet from the neighbors picnic table and our picnic table had to be close to our other neighbors slide out so we could walk through our site. Honestly, this is a gravel parking lot. However, the check in was easy, the staff was pleasant and it is quiet at night. We didn’t stay long enough to use the laundry or facilities. The internet connection was good for AT&T and Verizon. Another reviewer said it perfectly, “You give up the camping experience for walking distance to town.”

You stay here because of the location and views. The sites are terribly small. Neighbors sewer hose was 2 ft away from our picnic table. Better gave blacked out windows as the outdoor lighting is ultra bright. There is Wi-Fi but it is slower than a 3g cell signal.

We dug small hole and grabbed rocks to make our own but I have never heard of a campsite not having a fire pit.
Other than that the location is great.
There is literally no T-mobile in Ouray btw!

Easy to walk to everywhere. Nice showers, bathroom and laundry. Spots were crowded, but the convenience of the location made up for that. You can walk to the Hot Springs Pool from the campground. Had a group of partiers somewhere close, not sure if they were actually in the campground. Music till about 3:30 am.

We wanted to be able to walk to town and NOT have road noise as is the case with a few other nearby parks. This one is tucked against the mountain and is a dead end so no traffic unless you are staying at the park. Sites are TIGHT. We had one of the biggest but folks had to park their tow vehicles practically in our site since they do not fit in theirs. Rigs are in like sardines and for such a potentially beautiful setting we didn’t want to spend much time outside. It felt like you couldn’t even have a conversation without your neighbor over hearing. We didn’t use the bathrooms at all since we are self contained. The laundry had only 3 washers and dryers and one washer was out of order:-(. They don’t fill propane tanks but will sell you one of the exchangeable ones. Be advised all of Ouray has ZERO coverage for T-mobile. Of the options in Ouray I feel like this is the best option but I do prefer a park with a bit more nature and a few less people. Not much road noise but definitely people noise. Not parties or anything. Just normal living noise that I don’t really want to hear “camping.”

Clean almost level site. However, it’s all about location, location, location. We booked three consecutive half day guided tours with Colorado West Jeeps with pick up and drop off at our site! Both the CG and the Jeep Company know the value of quality customer service. Much appreciated.
