Felt safe. There is a sign saying 12 hours RV parking is okay. Parking lot is pretty flat and there were about 6-8 other campers there.

Road here is pretty easy. I’ve camped here a few times on my way in or out of phoenix. I have felt safe everytime. Please clean up after yourselves.

I arrive around noon and did my Walmart shopping before I noticed the 12-hour RV parking sign. Around 4pm I decided to ask the Manager and he said overnight was fine if I stayed; they just have those signed because he said people were "living there." I arrive around noon and did my Walmart shopping before I noticed the 12-hour RV parking sign. Around 4pm I decided to ask the Manager and he said overnight was fine if I stayed; they just have those signed because he said people were "living there." The Walmart store was well stocked and staff were helpful.
I parked in the very back of the lot straight back from the entrance. The spot was very level, never unhooked my car ad left early the next morning. The parking lot can be a little trashy but it was fine where I was Even on the main road the noise level wasn't bad at all, traffic died down by 9pm.
Would definitely stay there again.

All I needed was an overnight spot, and this Walmart had a moderate-size lot with plenty of room for big rigs. I didn't bother asking permission, because there were already three other rigs there, but I did go in to buy a rotisserie chicken for dinner. All I needed was an overnight spot, and this Walmart had a moderate-size lot with plenty of room for big rigs. I didn't bother asking permission, because there were already three other rigs there, but I did go in to buy a rotisserie chicken for dinner.
I parked along the far back of the lot near the main street. It was a little noisy until about 10PM, when noise settled down until about 5-6 am. There are lots of lights but my blinds took care of that, and they made me feel safer. No problems here!

Overall Rating
typical Walmart, huge lot, fairly level, well-lit. Right in center of town so shopping and gas/Laundry not far. Close to Hwy 87 so noise fairly constant but not horrible. Always several RVs parked there in morning.

I needed a place for just the night and didn't want to do a campground or RV park. I checked with the manager and he said overnight (24 hrs) was allowed. I needed a place for just the night and didn't want to do a campground or RV park. I checked with the manager and he said overnight (24 hrs) was allowed. I bought supplies I needed, it was the least I could do since it was free. I picked a spot closer to the street so I could run my generator and not bother anyone. I am equipped with solar and have a Mr. Buddy heater, but ran the generator to run my heater and my coffee maker for a bit. Used my T-Mobile hotspot and good reception to get some work done. It was quiet for the most part except for a little noise from the highway but not bad. I will stay here again, the place is secure and they have cameras.
