“An Amazing RV Park!”

We stayed here for 45 days from June until mid July. I couldn’t be more happy about this park! We loved the pool, the laundry facilities, the bathrooms and most of all the staff! The staff are top-notch, helpful and friendly. We stayed on site #29 and it is probably one of the better sites. We would stay here again!

Truly great place! We had reservations at a different place up in Pine that turned out to be a total bust. Headed back down towards Payson, calling every campground and RV park we could find. It was Sunday afternoon and all the offices were closed. Then a miracle happened. We called Payson campground and Mike answered the phone. "Sure, I can get you a spot, at least for tonight." What a relief! Ended up staying 4 nights.
Mike, Mikey, Curt, and all the other staff we met were so kind and caring.
We had full hook ups. Contrary to an old review, we had no issues with the 50 amp electric. It was low 90's so we ran the A/C pretty much all day. The pool area is really nice. The restrooms and showers were extraordinarily clean. The campground itself is very quiet. There is some noise from nearby Hwy 260, but it's easily masked when the breeze blows through the pine trees.
We already booked a return trip for Sep-2023.

Calling around Payson to locate a fresh water fill, I call Payson CG & RV Resort. They charge $10 for 40 gallons. (Discovered Speedway gas station no longer has fresh water fill option.) Go to office to pay, then they will direct you to water fill site.

They found us a great site for our 36’ Class A. Made us feel welcome. 50 AMP service, water, sewer all worked great. Kind of a diamond in the rough. Very close to town but you feel private and rustic. The staff was working constantly trimming trees, filling rain wash outs, etc.
Asked about a nice day trip. They suggested Wood Canyon Lake. Giving it 10 stars.

Camp site had such poor electric that we had to run the generator to make dinner. AC kept going off and on. NO refund!!! I’m the fool. Left after a cold dinner to drive home. No camping this weekend. What an awful experience with greedy people.

Friendly people! They were able to accommodate our last-minute reservation. Campsite was very clean :) we are flatlanders so we loved the high desert surroundings. Cell service was good, Wi-Fi is a little weak.

Clean, pretty campground ver convenient to restaurants and other places yet quiet. Sites are close together but site is heavily wooded so doesn’t seem that bad. Campground was very clean and neat.

First off, great pool! Some sites, including ours were very narrow, but others in the park, especially at the bottom of the slight hill are good sized. Nice showers. All gravel. Not a blade of grass around, if you have picky dogs like I do. All in all, would stay there again.

Our site was so small we had great difficulty positioning our rig so that the slides would extend. The dude who was supposed to help us get settled left before the rig was positioned. There was no room to sit outside, no table or anything just the narrow dirt driveway. We reserved a pull through but were told we needed to unhook our toad to squeeze into the site. Kind of defeats the purpose of pull through if you ask me. Will not stay again. Much better camping.options in the National Parks just up the road.
